Yeah - Hamilton would have had 3 tenths on him but for the rain in the first sector. I presume that Lewis's first run was on old tyres and was designed to be a bit of a banker.

Hamilton has more in the car than Webber...Unlucky though...Lets wait for tommorow,my guess is that he will jump Mark on the start.

I think that much will depend of the weather tomorrow. If it is like today and we get two weather changes the first five rows will have chances to win.

Why only the McLarens seemed to do well on last lap? Is the race going to be close?
Alonso didn't show he's a champion, poor performance.

Rosberg said his car setup is wet biased.

Rosberg gets a gearbox grid drop. By my reckoning this is the first time Seb's out of the top 3 all year. Right?

Martin Brundle of the BBC mentioned that it seems as if Red Bull has taken wing off, costing them time in Sector 2 but allowing them to cover off the speedy Maccas in Sectors 1 and 3. Can anyone comment/confirm this on sector times?

Apparently Alonso's car is set up for wet conditions, if it rains tomorrow he could hold an advantage.

Or so the pundits say...

If it rains tomorrow, I think we'll see how good everyone's wet weather pace is. We haven't really had a proper wet race. China was too mixed a bag to consider as a barometer, probably.

What is the weather forecast for tomorrow?

I also believe Alonso is set up for rain conditions, in his final lap he didn't make any big mistake, so normally he should be right up there with Webber. I think Ferrari took a gamble by sending Massa out on normal condition settings and Alonso on the wet settings.

Schumacher unlucky not to make it into Q3 having to sit behind rosberg for the last lap, hence their identical times...or did Nico show him how to drive? nevertheless out by 5 hundreds...unlucky.

with the weather chae is the only constant i´m looking forward to watch his progress tomorrow..he seems fired up.

Great laps from Webber and Hamilton. That certainly keeps Hamilton in play in the championship. This race is a bit vital for him. Vettel is on the backfoot a bit.

What I'd like to know is, what the hell happened to Alonso? He just doesn't seem to be able to pull laps out of the bag right now, almost as if he's getting carried away with trying too hard.
