We test by using our phoenics vwt software,but the software's files corrupted,so we can only manufac the car and blast off.

You got any ideas?

if you can build them easy enough race them. The problem is the many variables involved in car construction. Maybe figure out your average speed and build a wind tunnel.I am thinking a glass plate a leave blower and some sort of scale. Could be a spring and a marker.

It's heard to find leaf blower these days,maybe a vacuum cleaner can help,but not enough power to blow the water into sprinkles.
Maybe a fan?
And what exactly that we want to see in the wind tunnel?
Of course the wind direction,but what kind of wind movement that we want to see?
The wind flow continuity?
The thing that i learnt from previous post is that the faster the air movement the higher the drag,that explain the venturi effect.
And if the air combine(something like that) back with the air flow,that too will increase drag.
Do this things that we must observe in this WT?

My 1st car actually did around 1.05 sec at the start of this thread.
Im eager to test this car at the track.
This car's aero is better right than before?
So,im hoping this car will do around 1.04.
Do u have any VWT software to test this car?
If you have maybe i can email you car to analyze it.
Maybe a Turbine Engineer like you have a better software perhaps?

The software you are looking for is called CFD software unfortunately I cant use my software at work for personal use. In the wind tunnel you would place the car on a flat pad with the fan going you would measure how far back it is pushed against the spring. This would be a rough and ugly way to measure drag comparatively between cars.

You're right,it does seem ugly and unaccurate.
I've gotten my CFD software,but it takes time to configure it.
Maybe constructing a WT is a good idea that i can add to my 20 pages portfolio.
Should i try the other car or just this car?

CFD software, the pheonics thing, it isnt corrupted. just make a new user on the windows OS. and you should be able to use VWT. i've had the error once.

you could do a water wind tunnel as well keep in mind that with water your speeds will not correlate directly to air and any type of measurement you do now has to be water proof. Instead of hollowing them maybe try to shape them lower in the center but still gently curving up to meet the wheels.

I cant tell you when to stop building cars. I can tell you your current car has a long way to go from being optimized. But without any means to quantify data you will be taking shots in the dark.

you could do both the top and bottom. don't you need a certain area to be there for a side pod.

It could be adding drag but you have no way of knowing how much without testing. It could be the weight penalty is worth the drag may not be. This is where engineers earn there money.

one other not try to keep the basic shape of every thing sticking out wing like

round on the front edge sharp edge on the back. This allows the air a chance to stick to the surface at the front and get a clean break at the rear.
