Ray you are in a minority with your thinking that the track is crap. Most drivers and users here on F1technical think the track is well designed.

The race will start any moment now and no more rain is due today.

Don't know what that had to do with Di Grassi smoking the field but I know --- when I smell it. This track is garbage. More Tilke bad design. After the straight it looks like someone barfed corners up in a random order and stuck them together. It's like he had a slot car kit that had no straight pieces. The drivers will sing praises upon it because they have to, it's their job. It has no rhythm, no feel, and the same garbage long straight, tight corner like normal. Suzuka is a real track. Spa is a real track. Road America is a real track. This is just crap.

Hey WB, thanks, but there was a camera shot where Alonsos right eye (to our left) was directly looking through the visor clip, looked like he was aiming through a scope. nearly the same camera position as your second pic!

We saw mechanics working on the Mercs during the rain break. Their overtaking moves show that they must have adjusted them for a very wet set up.

Exactly what Webber said would happen when he was talking to the safety car driver. He said anyone hitting the wall would bounce back in to other cars.
