On the side view you can see the exhaust protruding slightly and angled underneath the lower wishbone.

What's interesting about the rear, to me, is the way it tapers to a vertical outlet - something we didn't see last year, or not to that extent anyway. To me it looks like their solution to the aero problem of keeping a push rod rear.

The much vaunted "Another slammer for Sauber as tequila giant signs deal" turns out to be a tiny little sticker on a sidepod inlet.

The fact the (pointless) "Sauber Club 1" logo from last year still hogs so much valuable real estate, is a real concern surely?

Why would they put the cooling outlet directly infront of the support for the rear wing?

That extended engine cover "tube" with hot gases from inside looks like RB6 last year's solution that aimed to Blown Diffuser

Perhaps, but it all looks better than last year by a long shot and the team sound confident. They're not going to have the budget of Ferrari, for example, but they sound like they have enough funding for a solid year. If they can keep the momentum they had in the second half of last year then they should do well. The worry, for me, is that the grid looks like they're converging on a single aero solution so a small difference in efficiency or downforce or mechanical grip could produce a larger than usual difference in form due to a particularly tight grid.

The sidepods terminate in an interesting fashion. They just seem to be left completely open. Is this because they have decided to route all of their engine cooling this way?

Does someone have an idea how the integrated blown diffuser works - are they blowing over it, or have they found a way to break into it?

EDIT: Also, another high nose with long vertical pillars.
