Sauber C30 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's possible there is no engine in the photo model, which would see the back sitting rather high up.
Well considering that they ran it on track I'd presume that they indeed had some sort of propulsion device fitted in there. :D

Thank goodness for time stamps so I look less dumb

When I posted the car hadn't turned yet.

Seems that the rake of the Red Bull is becoming copied faster than the pull rod. Last years car was flat to the ground to the eye at a stop, the c30 is massively raked.

The four pylons by the air box distract u from how tiny that passage to the engine is, its tiny compared to the rest, the side pod openings also create illusions... but damn the implication of the sponsors was done half-assed coming from something like this

Is this built-in IR camera for controling tyre temperature. I know they've used similar gadgets last year hiden inside the sidepods...?

Yeah it might be. Some teams have them on the edge of the rear floor as permanent fixtures. You can never have enough tyre monitoring!

That was great as always, thanks BAR555!

Any plans on doing a similar analysis on other cars this season?

What is wrong with a female team boss. Anyone capable and does the job well is chosen for it.
