Sir Frank has always been tight on driver salaries. He drives a hard bargain, has brutal contracts, and as far as spare and test drivers, they are the fortunate ones to have a chance at F1. His position is that they are lucky to be in there and have a chance to advance to regular driver status. If they ask too much, there are drivers lined up grasping for a chance to be a test driver in F1.

I'll pay him a dollar a lap to be a test driver. Do you think he would take that offer?

Then you mean 300 laps = 300 dollars?......Frank Williams is going bankrupt by that method

In regards to Ralf making more then Trulli, Willie Webber is the best agent in F1 and is worth every penny, I know he has a nickname too, I just do not know what it is?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

Ide's paycheck would look remarkably small.

Here you go Mr Ide, $4, enjoy.
