HRT will find over four seconds between now and the end of the season.

The F111 will gain about 2 seconds in laptime at Sepang, simply thrugh the cars being built and the team having time on track. Liuzzi will have the most work to do, with Karthekeyan having some work, but he will be going mostly long runs with Liuzzis setup as Liuzzi will have to set up both cars in effect.

The car will gain the most time of any car over the season, probably in the region of 4-5 seconds a lap, but still a second of the midfield, hopefully to where Team Lotus started this season.

In all honesty, I think they should just give up, go home and rethink what they are doing here in f1. They have no money, cant field a car for the race and moral seems to be quite low. Its great to have 12 teams, but if your car is that slow and that off the pace, something needs to change and fast. But since they have little funding they cant develop and thus change wont happen.

can't the same be said for Virgin? They are still 4-5 seconds off the pace and Lotus are lapping them. They have gone backwards.

HRT WILL beat Virgin easily this year if they can get the cars together for the following races. They should be able to pull in more sponsors once they can prove the car is much better than last year and they are whooping Virgin. Just looking at the shots available of the guts on the HRT shows it's a very impressive piece of kit. It's light years ahead of last year's car in terms of design work. Look at the radiators and exhaust manifolds! Geoff Willis wouldn't put his name on anything to question his brilliance. The major cock up is the Cabarante's unwilling to sell off the entry and also losing the 10M they received from FOM. Kolles has been running the operation since last year with the DTM factory.

This whole CFD only approach has bitten Virgin in the ass and Sir Dick will be selling off very soon. I don't see him investing in a state of the art wind tunnel.

I'm not from Spain, I just want all teams to do well.

OK so they only got the cars ready for Australia but I think some credit is due as they only started designing and building the F111 3-4 months ago as Hispania were chasing the Toyota deal.

So how did the FIA come to the conclusion that HRT would be a better pick over proton? Thursday Friday was clearly the first time they have ever fully assembled this car. Everyone in the garage was looking at the new floor that hadnt been installed yet like it was there first time seeing it. And i coudlve sworn i saw liuzzi giving direction to his crew in the garage because he knew more then they did.

It's way too early to judge, perhaps after a full GP weekend they will find a significant amount of speed and things will turn around. This car plenty of potential, but who knows what within the team is holding it back. Certainly not the drivers? I mean, the gearbox, engine, and suspension are good, as is the updated chassis.

Although it's refreshing to see something go "wrong" in F1. It seems so perfect that things like this team and their disastrous Australian GP are kind of a reality check, proving that F1 isn't a fair tale.
