Well what a way to start the season. Right now it is VERY hard to guage the opposition as the chaotic race in Melbourne today threw up some unusual results.

Well I bet your wondering how you all did:

Here are the results of the 2006 F1T Fantasy F1 Season Opener in Melbourne Australia.

Ok here is the Championship table after Round One (three) the Australian GP:

Format:

[Position] - [Team name] - [Team Principle] - [Points]

1 - Space_Hoppers - Ms_Spencifer - 333 (Maybe I shouldn't have allowed her in!  )

2 - Dumrick F1 - Dumrick - 301

3 - Team Tomba Renault - Tomba - 298

4 - United Grated - Grated - 280

5 - Team Coulti - Mclaurin - 259

6 - Team Chicane - Ted68 - 252

7 - Russell Turner Racing - Scuderia_Russ - 196

8 - F1T Team - Principessa - 193

9 - DTR - Tp - 192

10 - Saw Squand - Sawtooth_Spike - 188

11 - Rhode Island Red Racing - Tom - 160

12 - Team Hugh_Jazz - M3_Lover - 158

13 - Team Australia - Wrk - 132

14 - Venom Racing - Figlio_Del_Diavolo - 131

15 - Team Bhaisaab - Spencifer_Murphy - 117 (oooops! )

16 - Imgunnawin - Zac510 - 56

Aussie GP Stats:

Best Driver - Jacques Villeneurve - 125
2nd Best Driver - Rubens Barrichello - 104
3rd Best Driver - Scott Speed - 102
4th Best Driver - Takuma Sato - 100
5th Best Driver - Yuji Ide - 99

Best Chassis - Renault / BMW - 25

Best Engine - Renault / Toyota / Mercedes - 10

Worst Drivers:
Massa / Rosberg - 0
Klien - 4

JV did a fantastic job driving through the field quietly avaoiding trouble and picking up a whopping 65points for gaining positions alone! Rubens did much the same after a dismal qualifying session. Scott Speed, Sato & Ide gained pionts by finishing the race and in doin so moving up the field by way of default due to the high retirement rate of this GP.

EDIT: Took a long time due to my continously failing internet connection  , but I have updated Grated's score. He moves up to 4thPlace. Sorry for the confusion...and the delay!

I'm close ;)
However probably not for long as a cheaper engine and chassis was probably the better choice. I'm happy that i'm not last or something like spencifer :P

shouldnt ide have 101 points? he finished at 1+ lap so he has completed 56 laps + he gainded 9 spots from starting grid so that makes 45 and 56+45 = 101 no?

No, he completed 54 laps and scored 45 points from overtaking, adding up to 99

Can't work out why Scott Speed scored 102 though

I believe you owe Mr Ide an apoligy Principessa. I think you said something like
I pity anyone who has Ide on their team
 I'm sure he'll forgive you.

Pretty sad display from my team. Hopefully it will be better next race.
