There is scuttlebutt about HRT selling its soul to the devil in exchange for survival money. This means committing to Bernie long-term in exchange for more Bernie money up front. Williams did this a few years ago and the resulting Bernie committment was why Williams had to side with Bernie/FIA over FOTA in the threatened breakaway series. Having said that, Williams is still around and they are more independent than most teams. Perhaps the devil is a reasonable businessman??

Absolutely loved seeing HRT quicker than the Virgin cars today. They are well within 107% on today's FP2 times. Lets see about that tomorrow.
No lack of straightline speed either. Was anyone else impressed when the HRT flicked open the DRS and drove away from Alonso on the main straight in the last moments of FP2. =D> OK, Fred was in race sim mode but was still a cool moment.

Promising pace though. Could they maybe be in with a shot of being ahead of Virgin? They were both faster than them in P2, when Liuzzi only did one flying lap...
Usually more df means more drag. So if the HRT reduced their wing, they'd get less drag and less df. And the reverse is also true. But the HRT package is all-around not optimised. For example, If you made a sail out of metal on top of your car, and there is no wind, that would produce mounds of drag but no downforce.Lca1443 wrote:First off let me say that I'd like to see HRT make it.
