Great data collection excersize as i saw one of the Hispanias late in the race weaving as if to get temprature into the tyres.

China saw 1,253.730km put on the clock, meaning that Hispania have 2,238.967km now. So 2761km before we can assertain a level of progress, so ideally this will be post Spain to the 5000km im giving them.

Id expect them to put a few upgrades on for Turkey and Spain tho, with their full upgrade being at Monaco, whitch i belive to be a wrong move, i think they should sdetail develop till the first race back from Canada whitch is Valencia, would give them the best opertunity, but the last team to upgrade/introduce a new car at Monaco won just 10 races later on in Monza in 2008 so i could be totally wrong here.

This car should easily outpace Virgin just on optomisation of the package i think, but with updates, i think the Mid Feild could be gapped.

HRT 2011 vs 2010, impressive faster lap of Liuzzi 5 seg faster than 2010. This 1:43.3 is also 1 seg faster than 1:44.3 from Glock and 1.5 better than 1:44.8 from D'Ambrosio.

Faster lap of Narain 1:46.0 is 2.2 seg better than Senna' 1:48.2, and Narain did only 1 change of tyres.

LOL! HRT can do a 1-stopper when Red Bull can barely do 2 stops.

Maybe they were planning to sell the unused tyres back to Pirelli...

Steal tires and threaten to show them to other tire companies if Pirelli don't pay their fee

That probably means that while their car isn't so quick, it is well balanced, the result is that with the lower cornering speeds, less energy is being put through the tyres, but at the same time, they're not being dragged sideways by under or oversteer. It's likely that as their car gets better, the tyre situation will get worse – exactly as we saw with McLaren – the car got faster between Aus and Mal, but the tyre situation got a lot worse.

Have you seen any onboard laps from the car? It's unstable as hell on the rear. Really strange the way it oversteers as well... Different to the other cars.

Hispania have a new sponsor which will appear on the car from now on and they have also expressed an interest in developing Kers for HRT.

The way its going I can see Hispania being taken over by an Indian company soon and Tata have said they would like to run their own team.

A good deal, and proof that Hispania, once they start outpacing Virgin, they can make inroads with sponsors, all they need is one big sponsor for the car and a couple of other smaller ones that can make up the same ammount of money that the one main one can, they will start to be viable financially.

There are rumours of Liuzzi and Narain getting more sponsors on board.

There are rumours of Repsol coming in board as well, as a technical sponsor.

I can see the logic BASE will develop the KERS system for Hispania instead of buying it in.

I think that it's pretty obvious that sponsors aren't stupid- they can see when a car will be competitive (either that, or this is all we're all going to see and the people at Base are unimaginably dull.)

I genuinely think Hispania will be competitive through out the season.

Guess we will see @ Turkey.

If Liuzzi can get a few sponsors he will be fine, if he can find €7m i think is a ball park figure for him. But the team need his technichal experteese to get the most opur of the car. Karthekeyan will bring more money to the team as time goes on, he is bringing a potential €21m from TATA, however all this is performance related, and with the DNPs at Australia and the 2 DNFs at Malasia they have lost €2m of that figure.

They already have Panda security, whitch is a deal in the region of €3.5m for the season.

If Repson come along, i think it would be dumb of Telefonica to come for the ride as well, as both companies, for a investment of €9m a season, would see a decent enough reward for that figure, as Telefonica once sponsored Renault for €25m a season, in this age of auserity, a lesser ammount to a smaller team is what sponsors are wanting. Look at Saubers car for this to last year, and the Brawn in 2009 with race to race sponsor deals.

Hispania will always be a team that will struggle with sponsorship untill they get a decent technichal base and a decent staff and facilities, even if they have hand-me-downs from Williams in terms of gearbox, its a base they can build on, and many team in the past have done worse with better. I think Hispania, this year are gonna be showing their worth and the fact they deserve to be on the grid, no matter what some of the larger teams say.
