I am pretty sure it had pullrods at the rear (which caused dampers accessibility problems in testing), but then the pic from Marcush indicates otherwise. I'll keep searching.

As for the pullrods, yes they have been around for ever and were common in the 80s. But late 90's and 00's pushrods were very much the norm (Arrows A21 excluded, I will remember that one :P ).

Anyway, move on, nothing to see here anymore. :oops:

Yes that's it. A stone was caught between wheel hub and rim and machined it down 'til it broke.

Clay Regazzoni, 1979 British GP, who was later paralysed from the waist down in an Ensign when his brake padal snapped at Long Beach in 1980, then finally lost his life in a traffic accident in 2006.

Ronnie Peterson, 1971 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch, retired because his brakes failed.
