Poor race, poor track, why on earth do we have this GP?

Boring race. Boring track. Time to get rid of Valencia but it won't happen whilst Alonso and his backers are in the mix.

Some good racing nin the field but nothing of too much merit up front except for a couple of brief dices between Alonso and Webber. The McLarens looked pretty average. Button had a KERS issue and I wonder if Hamilton had a DRS problem - in the early laps when he could have used DRS he didn't appear to. He also seemed to struggle with traffic (his lap times would suddenly drop for a lap which presumably was traffic) and then pick back up for a few laps and then drop again for a lap.

Good early few laps from diResta. Good result for Algie and Sutil. Bit unlucky for Schuie getting clipped straight out of the pits.

Overall a fairly boring race. Vettel in the RB7 appears to remain uncatchable. It's going to be a short season title-wise...

Agreed! This GP has always been BOOORING since its inception. It is definitely the most boring 2011 race We had.

The only part which was entertaining was Hamilton's Responses:

I can't go any slower...

Then few laps later, he said:

I can't go any faster...

From the post Q interview on th F1 site....

Q: (Alvaro Faes - La Nueva Espana) Sebastian, when you got out of your car, you took a look in the cockpit of the other cars. Were you looking for any kind of new engine mapping or new innovation?
SV: No, you obviously can’t see much. I was having a look at the steering wheels of the other cars. There are no secrets but maybe there is something you can learn, so that’s why I had a look.
There was a technical brief on SpeedTV earlier year focusing on steering wheels. I don't recall which team it was but they would not show the back of the wheel due to 'secrets'.

I didn't record the race, so I cant check, but on about the third to last lap, the camera was following a ferrarri through a couple of turns and I swear I saw the rear wing open in non DRS zones. Can anyone check this?

Did Schumi end up getting a reprimand, or did he do anything wrong when he had his wing run over?

Seriously, I fell asleep around lap 50/51. Woke up on the final lap.

The only thing of note was Alonso's move on webber. Didn't see much else.

The WDC is Vettel's to lose, at this point. I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah it was not very exciting to be sure. The advantage due to tire came in a very small window.

Mclaren did not have a good race either. They were the big losers here, and Ferrari the big winners I would say, obviously the RB is the car to beat, so each race is theirs to lose.

It was deemed a racing incident, however I don't recall seeing it broadcast but I had resorted to the guitar through sheer boredom so I could have missed it.

EDIT - Just seen it.

Schumacher was exiting the pitlane and went into the 1st chicane at the same time as Petrov was turning in for the same piece of tarmac. Schumacher has just said it was his problem in an interview on BBC1. I think the stewards have made the right call. Just unfortunate timing and one of those things for both drivers.

Boring race....but well played Vettel. Great race from Alonso, he really hustled that car into P2. This all plays well for Vettel as there is no single driver that is challenging him.

Going by some of the comments, it is obvious that we were all bored by this race. However I have found some excitement for you all.

WARNING - YOU MAY FIND THIS EXCITING!

Great race by Seb and Red Bull. Ferrari screwed up another pit stop. Hamilton unable to manage the tyres. Vettel is pulling ahead in the championship while the challengers from Ferrari and McLaren are taking points from each other. Best situation for Red Bull and Vettel.

Indeedio. It is amazing to me that they haven't caught on after all the mistakes in previous races.
