That badly dubbed advert for Fiat 500 ft. Alonso

Post

Seriously, when will these advertising agencies realise that we can tell when they've dubbed someone's speech?

We all know that Alonso can speak english very well, albeit with an accent. And yet they chose to record the advert in a language other than English, and try to fool us that it was English all along, despite Fernando's mouth not matching his words, and a voice artiste being used instead of the actual man's voice.

It just comes off as lazy IMHO, FFS how long would it take to record Fernando actually saying the lines in English? At least it would be his voice that way, even if the video was of him speaking the words in another language!

I thought Alonso always brought 6 takes?

It could have been as painful as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey1_iN4DHFQ

What the hell? The entire advert is in German, except for the catch phrase "Everyday Fun"?

That's somewhat reminiscent of Le Weekendbreak!

Its the deep gravelly voice that is funny, sounds like the soundtrack to a horror movie. I appreciate that Alonso wouldn't record multiple languages but I'd thought they would use a voice over that used a Spanish accent ate roughly the same pitch.
