With a bit of luck, the RB style exhaust could work well for Renault if indeed they are heading in that direction. We have seen from Ferrari, Mclaren and Mercedes-Benz that if implemented correctly it reaps rewards. I don't see why Renault should be any different as long as they've managed to make an appropriate floor to go with it. Also, heat shielding shouldn't be a problem as they should be able to carry over what they learnt in that respect by pointing the FEE at the front of the floor. As such I expect we won't see any white diffuser components on the Renault when the new style exhaust is introduced.

I hope they can leap into the sharp end and cause some headaches.

Renault needs a new machinist.
Or some new CAM software.

And people thought the Merc exhaust looked bad...

The Russian and the Hairy Man were close in final times in P2, about a tenth apart...both running different exhaust configurations. I wonder if there is any gain to be seen.

If it's already as fast as the old exhaust then that should tell that they must ditch the forward exhaust.

I don't see that they have done any changes to the area where the old exhaust was, I wonder if that leaves some development potential.

Very neat wing and their exhaust looks very clean as well.
