I would:

- 3L V8 with no restrictions and/or 3L V10 with just the air intake reastrictor
- Slick tyres, with the rear being like 2 as wide as front
- Yes for tyre changes
- refuelling to a certain extent (limit fuel used per team)
- No for traction control (but maybe in rain)
- No for launch control
- No team orders because then you can't really race for yourself and have fun

I think it would be a good idea to bring the rear wing and front wing back to when car were able to overtake eachother. Like the rear should be moved back and the front should be lowered 2 the ground.

-Launch control allowed
-Traction allowed
-Semi-auto gearboxes
-Active suspension
-Turbochargers, superchargers etc. allowed

engines-no 2 race engine rule
tires- slicks
tc-might as well coz governing is difficult.

That would really make a nice car-push contest!!!!

Concerning TC, the reason the ban ended was because it was impossible to be sure that there was no software function making it and Ferrari started being very competitive in a blink of the eye and everyone suspected they were using it. But what's the fuss about rain races and TC? Man, for 40 years of F1, drivers raced in the rain, with a lot less downforce, worst tyres and even, in the 80's cars with huge turbos fitted and with turbo-lag...

(maybe with the exeption of rain, because no TC at all under rain would lead to either very slow or very dangerous races).
This would soon sort the men from the girls.....surely the dollars some of these drivers earn includes danger money !!! Not that i'm suggesting we need to see someone kill themselves.....

If I were Max Mosley I would be laughing at this thread... you dreamers! :D

"Why so? Well, I look at it like this. There was a strange atmosphere in the Imola paddock this year, and those who were there 10 years ago took a little time to remember Ayrton Senna (and, let’s hope, poor Roland Ratzenberger, too). One day, inevitably, a driver will again be seriously injured or perhaps even killed in a grand prix; and then it would be nice if F1 had plenty on the credit side, road safety-wise, with which to counter the anti-car brigade if they cite such a tragedy as a reason to ban the racing of cars for ever."

The problem with V12s is the need for refuelling during races. Something I'd like to cut out.

Also no tobacco advertising!

I like Jason's turbo/supercharger idea though, although we don't want any more deaths or injuries.

I don't think you can control that.

let there be tobacco sponsorship.. now with no where else to advertise, tobacco companies will pour more money into f1.. and maybe if they can sponsor the smaller teams, we can close the gap in terms of finacial power with the big manufacturers

-No refueling
-Tyre changes
-Qualifying Tyres!!!
-Narrower cars (gives more room on the tracks, so more overtaking)
-Limited ground effects

more grip, more power!
