GP2 : The collapse of Giedo Van der Garde

Post

For those of you who follow the GP2 series, I would like you to give me your opinion about the collapse of Giedo Van der Garde. The Dutch driver was doing well in the championship but now has lost second place to Luca Filippi. I wonder if this will hinder his chances of going into F1. There were talks about a seat at Williams (Barrichello may retire) with the help of his personal sponsor McGregor.

I also think that Van Der Garde has collapsed, maybe when he understood he has lost the championship.
However we must recognize the cleverness of Filippi.

Van der Garde missed his way into F1 a while ago already. And what worse is, it is always someone else ruining his race, not his own fault. I dont want a driver driving for my team who cannot admit his own faults. And I am saying this as a citizen from the Netherlands. Although it is regular for us to blame others I think it is an incorrect stance. He thinks he is great, but he has not any self-criticism, a thing you need too.

Van der Garde has been on the cusp of a drive for too long. He will not make it unless there are some golden gilders needing to be pawned for a seat.

A shame he seemed to give up but the GP2 series is not easy.

I was more gutted for Georgio Pantano - he made F1 on the money (far too early) and then went to GP2 to win it and not get back in.

There are so many faster drivers that Guido in GP2 that with the performance (and lack of) this season he has shot himself in the foot.
