HRT F111 Cosworth

Wow, that's surprising. I was thinking Willis would stay. Maybe he's moving on up?

Autosport cites that the team has made no financial commitments to 2012 and so Willis wasn't willing to stay

One wonders where Willis' departure leaves the 2012 project. Zander would have to start work immediately to meet the time frame for next yera's car. Talk of a switch to Renault seems far fetched.

Wills has left, i wonder if he is away to another team that need a good TD, and since the announcement of Michael to McLaren this has left a much needed new TD at Force India, and am thinking Wills to Force India??? May be wide of the mark by a country mile tho.

Id recon that Zander will be involved at Hispania next year, and will be announced within the next 7 to 10 days as there is an aggreement for all tech staff to be in place for the 2012 season for the start of Singapore.

As for the Renault-Hispania link, id say this is on for free or a subsidised fee if they take one of Grosjean or Senna is Petrov stays and Kubica is fit for 2012. Renault still have 2 seats free for 2012 from what ive read.

I think Hispania will take Charls Pic for 2012 on the back of a Renault deal also, however there may be a Spanish driver or two who may make their way into a seat at Hispania. Also dont rule out the Red Bull link as well as if Riccardo gets a STR seat for 2012, id like to think either Buemi or Alguersauri could make their way here for shelter.

I think Hispania for 2012 will probably be Barwa Addax-Renault with Grosjean/Pic as they driver pairing. But all will be revealed in time id guess.

according to willis the 2012 car is well on its way and the first tub should be ready end of september....he acknowledged to be slower as desired with the aerodevelopment as one of the race engineers is running the Aero programme so the programme does suffer due to him going to the races...
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/94555

It appears to be willis on the leave but it is not confirmed...

Munich ..this would hint at the Holzer Group being involved ..as far as I know Holzer has supplied a lot of the workforce and recources to build the car already.
Holzer came from Rally sports ,the Holzer brothers were national heavyweights in the rally scene before switching their focus towards tarmac race preparations ..in conjunction with Opel .
The job offers contain lot´s of F1 expertise to be wanted...

I like HRT because they entered F1 as the ultimate underdog, but still put on a respectabler show over the last two seasons. Yes I also rooted for Minardi when they were around.

It looks pretty sure HRT will finish ahead of Virgin in the constructors title for the second year in a row. Does this mean HRT is too successful and I will have to start rooting for Virgin instead? Somehow Virgin still does not seem as scrappy and underdog as HRT.

I will probably keep rooting for HRT until they score a point, then it's all over. :D

So Jörg Zander, Jose Gallego Segura and Stephane Schosse are the new technical team.

I agree with everything you say ESP, but the press can't seem to decided whether Munich or Valencia is going to be the base.

Narain definitely won't be with the team next year and Riccardo will go back to Toro Rosso.

Personally if the team can get the Renault deal then they will take a driver on as well.

Im thinking that Barwa will take over, get the Renault deal for the RS27-2012 engine and the Renault gearbox so they can run the Renault/Magnetti Marenelli KERS as well. With this id expect to see an expeienced driver in the line up and one good young driver, however id expect both to posibly be pay drivers as well.

With the Barwa thing i think they will stay in Munich untill maybes mid way thru next season, or at the earliest do what Virgin are doing at Banbury, leaving for Singapore from their current location and bringing the cars back to their new one, im now expecting Team Lotus to do the same as they are looking at a new tempoary factory so they can expand on certain aspects of the team that are too contrived at Hingham.

Id say they will leave for Melbourne and come back to Valencia at the end of the first fly away at the earliest, other than that id recon they will do it arround Canada sometime.

Hispania will be a minnow and have what could be decribed as the "Minardi spirit" but with-out the Italian flair. I think they are the most supported team on the grid, but you cannot run a team on support, they now need resourse and finance to take the true step forward. This will come, just have to wait.

This link- http://translate.google.co.uk/translate ... es-con-hrt mentions Zander and Schoss joining the team and focusing on moving the team to Spain.... but that they are keeping Geoff Willis.

HRT or if they are renamed will need KERS next year.. and if they are using the Renault as a base it should move them forward.

I can't see Narain or Riccardo being with them next year, so they are going to have to bring one driver in at least.

Maybe Grosjean or Pic as 1st team driver then Clos or Villa are reserve driver with Liuzzi being 1st driver.

In Septembers issue of Racetechmag Willis has a say about HRT and that clears up a few things to me .
He is always maintaining the technical future is to be found in britain ...when now everything seems to have swung back towards Germany ...
So maybe it was his aim to get everything under his control without having to have endless mails and travelling to make sure everything is up to the task.

Its gone very quiet on HRT's front now?

Its believed that Jorg Zander is now Technical director.

Going of what Marcush said above Jose Segura Gallego who is Lead Design Engineer for HRT F1 and Holzer Group, guessing that means they are building/designing the car in Germany (F112).

HRT will need KERS next year otherwise they are just going to fall even further behind?

I just hope that the 2012 car is ready for testing from the start!

Anyone got any ideas on driver line ups as I don't think Narain and Daniel will be with the team next year.

With HRT being so far behind in terms of pace, they shouldn't go for KERS. The money they spend for upgrading aero will be better value

With Team Lotus have KERS they are going to move further up the field, not so sure about Marussia Virgin having KERS for 2012?

It doesn't matter right now as they are sorely lacking aero downforce. For example if you spent 1 million on KERS with this car it might get you 0.3s, if you spent 1 million in aero you might get .8s.

(I'm throwing purely hypothetical numbers just to illustrate my point)
