Team can become dominant only if it has dominant car. No driver or two drivers can make team dominant in mid-field car. Engineers and designer can make dominant car while good driver can only improve its domination. So, the reason for Ferrari's dominance was work of their engineers (with a little help from FIA). Benetton was as good as Williams in 1994 and 1995 although I'd say that in 1994 Williams was better but suffered under huge loss. When it matters 1994 don't forget that Benetton was using illegal launch control and that Schuey won WDC after slamming into Hill.

Benetton suffered from same thing as Williams - both of them were using Renault engines in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and than Renault withdrew leaving teams with Mecachorome/Playlife surrogates that were not competitive. Williams recovered a bit after BMW started supplying them with engines and Benetton was bought by Renault so they never actually won after 1997.
I would agree with that manchild

I beg to differ. In 1995,1996,1997 Willliams were in the championship hunt. Benneton were only in it in 1995. What of 1996,1997?? Well MS was gone and for all their ability GB & JA were not in the same class.

In 1994 MS won the title inspite of competing only in 12 out of the 16 races, which was the only reason it was close. Short and simple the better man won! 8)

That was just mentioned in talk about Benetton good years before they went down, nothing related to Schuey.

He competed in 14 out of 16 races and it was so because he was disqualified TWICE in one season - British and Belgian GP. Since he did what he did in Belgium FIA gave him 2 race penalty and than came Australian GP where he hit Damon Hill and won title by 1 point. Really respectful season...

WOOOHOOO... \:D/ ... they should have known that there is more Schuey haters than Senna fans in the world although they blame only Senna fans. Also, if there is similar or grater number of Schuey fans why were they beaten by votes for Senna?

Its nice to see how you truncate a report to suit your agenda!

here is the full post:: Qoute:

Who is the best driver ever?
The "Who is the best driver ever?" poll has been taken offline. It overloaded the server after 10s of thousands of Senna fans voted in just a few days (thanks to a campaign by a Brazilian blog to skew the vote)! Before that, Schuey had 52% of the vote for many months. Despite rumours to the contrary, no Senna votes were blocked - how could they have been he had 79% of the (unrepresentative) vote in the end! The vote skewing plot was also reported on several news sites.

Can they prove that Schuey didn't get those original 52% also thanks to some campaing? Also, why didn't they provided any link to those "notorious" blogs and sites?

Very Schumacheristic of site owners - remove the poll if you don't like the results.

Anyway that proves nothing.

It is the fans personnal opinion and many people will have voted for MS because he was European and Senna likewise South American. It doesn't show much about driver skill!

Did I? Die, Robin, die! I never suspected you would follow my link, you clever fiend!

We do not ask for the Law: it is Justice what we are asking for! muahahahahaha!

Seriously, 52% of the vote? C'mon, guys, this is MSchumacher.com. What did you expect? It is not the place for Senna fans to blog! Besides, the news are wrong: it should have said: brazilian and colombian blog.

We did it because MC was having dangerously high blood pressure. At our age and with our temperament, we can get mad very quickly! Exactly like Schumi, if you catch my drift...

Are you trying to say to me that I am a "parcialized fan"? Don't you know Senna's fans are the only ones that are never parcialized against the "gringos"?

As I continously say to my wife: stop being so selfish. Think about someone else, for example, think about me.

(for emburmark: this was a joke to show that "fan" and "personal opinion" are redundant).

Besides, it proves something: Senna's fans skills are greater than Schumi's fans humour. This gives you a rough idea of their beloved ones abilities... Michael Schumacher barely has a sense of humour. This guy can be soooooo boring... :D

I visited that site a few months ago, because I was looking for some information about Schumi, but found it utterly boring. It was quite out of date (and still is I see... I spotted the poll, voted for Senna, of course, and found out that 72% of votes came to him. So I do not know where they get the 52% result for Schumi.

Who cares what all of you think really?? Shumi speaks for himslef, his achievements and his titles? What else does he have to prove?

I see people saying, oh yeah he is a great driver BUT i dont like the fact that he runs into people, animals, protesters, bla bla bla and so on... come on people....

The guy is a legend whether you like it or not, and he doesnt have to prove himslef to anybody or any governing body.

He is great for the sport a true legend on and off the race track. A expert that will be missed when all others try to take away what records he holds....

which as we ALL know, NOBODY will achieve EVER !!!! bottom line
Always FERRARI

And what exactly did he do in Belguium that was so bad but you have failed to mention it?! Please remind us all Manchild!!! As for Australia, Damon punted Schumacher off the road, not the other way around.

Yeah, we should feel privileged that we are able to see such a genius at work. In many decades to come people will be talking about him and all the records he managed to achieve and how amazing it must of been to see him race a car in the tiny area that separates the very, very quick from the too quick, millimeters from disaster.
