RENAULT to stay in F1

Post

I just heard Alain Dassas interviewed on TF1 channel, he said they have found some commercial agreements with Bernie Ecclestone and should stay in F1 untill 2012 at least !!!

I wonder if this mean they've found the right line up for 2007 onward. Anyway, that's a good news :P

James Allen mentioned that they're looking to sign one strong driver.

That, to me, suggests that Fisichella will either be No. 2, or out all together. Perhaps we should pair him up with Button in Super Aguri.

About Fisi, I think the only reason explaining he keeps his position in the team is his good friendship with Flavio. But if Renault's heads feels confident enough to commit themselves for six years from now, I think they have found some solutions about that. Maybe the rumor about Raikonen switch to Renault is not so fantasist, even if I still can't believe he would turn his back to Ferrari's offer.

If Schuey stays in Ferrari Kimi won't go there for sure. Being No1 in Renault is much more tempting than being "Schuey's little helper".

why would'nt kimi go to ferrari, do his apprentiship for one year , MS leaves at the end of 2007 and kimi moves up a spot.

just on jumping ship. i think FA should be staying where he is....big mac have not shown any real improvement, even in the hands of kimi....... theres an old saying , when your on a good thing, stick to it...not the best move ya made FA.

just my thoughts

I couldn't agree more. It is quite apparent that Fernando & Renault have a good thing going...

But after the Jenson Button/Williams/BAR fiasco, maybe he'll be staying w/ Renault after all!

He's got a contract, and it was mostly Honda who fit the bill to get Jenson Button back and it was not a small sum.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.
