Today it is exactly 20 years since Elio de Angelis died during testing at Paul Ricard.

From many remarks from other drivers I can tell he had no enemys, every remark was freindly and with no hint of prejudice. F1 has never since seen anyone with such qualities.

As well as his considerable skill as a driver, De Angelis was also concert-standard pianist who famously once kept the drivers entertained for an entire evening in the midst of the mid-80s driver's strike.

I have heard that before - did you know that James Toseland (WSB Champ) is also a pianist.
