F1 2006 video game

Post

I've seen a presentation of the 2006 F1 game at the E3, it will be launched in november on the PS3, and it supports an interesting feature:
The PSP, linked to the PS3, will act as a real time rear view mirror! You just put it on the side of the TV (If I have the budget and the patience, I'll even try to built an arcade type cockpit with the seat, steering wheel, etc, and stick the PSP at the realistic distance) If the game is good (and with the power of the PS3 it should be) it will be very fun 8) .

The only sad thing is that there is only one mirror to be emulated, even if you have two PSPs, and it will display a central view, wich is not very realist for a F1 game, but with the developpement time remaining, maybe they'll add an option to configure wich side mirror it is, and display the correct view.
Let's just prey that the game will be better than the precedent ones...

Sorry for going off topic, but in the new GT5 that was also shown at E3, there will be cars and bikes that people can use. So I can not wait to see a race of a car and a bike.
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

For starters, you won't be limited to one PSP wing mirror when playing the PS3 version of Formula One 06--you'll be able to stick handhelds on both sides of the TV. Furthermore, Studio Liverpool has been playing around with a three-PSP setup that sees the third handheld being used to display all of the same telemetry data that a real driver would find on his steering wheel. But wait, there's more.

Console racers play like crap compared to PC games, at least in terms of realism and physics. And PC's have been already handling more than 20 racers at once. The only advantage consoles have are graphics, which from my experience seem a lot smoother (GT series)

That said, if F1-06 can change that, I will be impressed.

More videos. They are using the 3.0 V10s still.
Bring back wider rear wings, V10s, and tobacco advertisements
