(looking at the shot down the top of the nose)... why are there so many bumps across the top, not counting the larger bump mid-right?

It looks like they laid down wet laundry on a drying rack.

From my opinion those bumps maybe sensors the may use during the test in Jerez to monitor the airflow in that area

The sidepod inlets look to be the exact same from last year. It doesn't look like much has changed aside from the FW, nose & exhaust. 4th is their target. Tis a lofty goal.

First thoughts:
Until now the nose is the least ugly and most smooth platypus one. The skinny sidepods are a logical approach to the zeitgeisty style. I think Lotus can't be too aggressive, because they have to learn a lot with this philosophy which is new to them.
The front wing is interesting, it's a mix of older wings and RB flaps.

Awaiting some better pics ...

the sidepod inlets are the only part I'm quite worried about, but hope they develope it like the R30 [-o<

I guess they still didn't get the memo that the JPS livery they're emulating looked good because of its pinstripes.
