Pastor Maldonado recorded the fastest time on the penultimate testing day of the current 4-day session at Barcelona. The session was dominated by 4 red flags and was eventually cut short 3 minutes earlier than planned because Felipe Massa came to a halt in the pitlane.

Guess you are right. Should be something serious. However, Vettel's longest run, of 10 consecutive laps, was done in an average of 1:30.12, while Hamilton did a 16-lap run in an average of 1:28.662.
