World Cup Football

Post

As we're all sportsfans here: the World Cup in Germany!

I really hope France or Italy wins. Of course everybody thinks it will be Brazil. But I'm a fan of France and Italy  . Though Ecuador surprised me yesterday! It was a nice game! Studying till Monday and after that watching football, football, football

England sucked today I heard! Couldn't see the match because I was studying.

Sweden disappointed me! So many chances and no goals. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was playing very selfish again and oh my Allbäck...how many chances did he had???

England didn't suck at all. Great first half, but a lack of a finishing touch....oh and we played Peter Crouch, that 6'7" wally.

Second half on the otherhand was a complete farce with Sven opting to protect the one goal lead.

The swedish could only manage a 0-0 draw againt a Trinidad & Tobago side who:
1. Had their #1 keeper injured in the WARM UP! and had to start with their #2 keepr
2. had their left back defender sent off only 30seconds into the 2nd half
3. Are cmpeting in their first ever world cup

WELL DONE Trinidad & Tobago

(Even better seeing as if we beat them (England v Trinidad & Tobago) then we qualify top of our group REGARDLESS of the Englad v Sweden result! :D )

As for England sucking...well Brazil are the odds on favourites to win with the bookies giving them a 9/4 odds. BUT WAIT...LOOK...WHO'S the bookies 2nd favourite???

Oh yes I do believe its England! hehe :D  (6/1 odds btw)

I always get a good laugh when I listen to all the experts talking about the odds in the Stanley Cup play-offs. They always pretend to know something, and in the end, they end up looking retarted. The point is that, anything can happen (remember Greece (Euro '04), S. Korea (World Cup '02), Croatia (World Cup '98), Denmark (Euro '94), etc.). Here is an even better proof - read this article...even a monkey knows better than our over-paid experts:

England did went a bit sucky, on the 4th minute they score their own goal. Then the 19th minute Steven Gerrard got his yellow card, duh! #-o another for Peter Crouch on the 69th minute.

Winning the game and getting two yellow cards in the process does not constitute a "sucky" game Ranger.
