WTF?!?

seems like all of you are right..

times on tests don`t say nothing!!

at least I hope so!! HAHA

*EDIT:
ARYOH, you are right... sorry... my fault!!

since my initial post was stupid and meaningless...

something a bit offtopic.

might it be legal to stall a beamwing with a F-Ductish technology?
MSC did a 1-24.2 on Hard Tyres on a 12 Lap Run. So I guess they can go quicker than 1-23's,definitely much quicker.

BTW That 1-23.3 odd time was Set on Soft Tyres not SuperSoft

Can't believe how tedious this thread is becoming with people trying to compare lap times between the different teams.....it's utterly pointless !!!

Roll on Melbourne !!

Maldonado does a 22.3 and proves how pointless testing times are. On a side note, the fastest q3 time here last year was a 20.9, I think the tyres have improved by a fair margin despite what pirelli say.

Indeed, testing is reliable in its unreliability as indicator of pace. Here's a comment from the BBC text commentary noted in the Jerez thread....
So how much does a fastest time over one of these four days mean then? Well if we cast our minds back 12 months, the fastest man on day one of testing at Jerez was Felipe Massa. The next day it was Michael Schumacher, followed by Nick Heidfeld and Rubens Barrichello on days three and four. Universally underwhelming seasons followed with two of those drivers no longer in F1 and the other two out-performed by their team-mates during 2011. So keep that pinch of salt handy, eh

Can't get over the idea that this is particularly significant. We saw the one time last year when there was a significant change to these (at Silverstone), Ferrari looked much stronger in comparison to the others. Shows they've got a big deficit in that area.

f1talks: FIA investigations about engine mappings was induced by Ferrari. Surprice, surprice... #F1

@f1talks said it can be all about "cold blowing" which is used by Renault and Mercedes for cooling the exhaust valves

Petrov 1.22.268?? Its official Carteham joins the midfield battle.

EDIT ->

13:29 Apologies for the excitement. The screen resets itself into a 1m27s lap.

13:28 Remember that old saying; if something looks too good to be true, it probably is? Well strike off that Petrov time. There's an error with the timing system here in Barcelona.
