The car does not have a step nose. Whereas the Merc and Caterham do. The only other car wihout a step, is the McLaren!
It quite clearly has a stepped nose, just more like the Lotus E20 in profile..
It just looks like a stepped nose, but is in reality similar to last year. The horns give it the impression of a step from the side view, but when you look from the front, you can see the nose shape more accurately.
Those journalists who were present, have all said that it has a smooth nose, like the McLaren. Are they all wrong? :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

Its a strange one, side on it looks stepped, front on it looks smooth, guess it the colour of the car maybe?

New Picture from Facebook of Jose Gallego Seguro who is Lead Designer Engineer:

And he responded in regards to the FW question:

Jose Gallego Segura aero upgrates to follow during the season,....also a new front wing. Trying to combine/find the best posible/working aero packaging. The current FW are very powerful , even it showing quiet simple shaped. Redesigned the Rear end (issue area at F111) will realize a better aero balance.etc,etc.

Noticed that some of you admiring the new livery of the backmarkers. Pardon me if I don't share the exact same thought. It looks like something out of a freakin' Bollywood movie.

Infact, it appears as if something Vijay Mallya would do for his Force India.

In my opinion, the 1st year livery was the best. Seems like as the years go, their design team gets cheaper.

I can't wait to see what they'll come up with next year. Clearly their livery is the only thing F1 fans could look forward to, since they suck.

Who know, maybe next year they'll put a picture of Narain Karthikeyan. U know HRT needs the money. Why else would they sign that bum!

The head support is just missing the clips, that is why the tape is in place..

Your entitled to your opinion of course but that seemed a little pretentious and wrong for what of a better word. In reality a lot of fans look forward to many things to do with the back markers, since they are small they have to be inventive coming up with great ideas, on this thread there has been a lot of speculations and eagerness to see the new car.

And Narain is no bum, he is certainty better then me or you, just look at lasts years efforts in India particularly, he had been out the car for a number of races but jumped straight back in and put in a stella performances.

Hmmm, sensing something that doesn't really belong here from your attitude.

Either way, your opinion is your opinion.

Please dont fool yourself into thinking its worth any more than what it is.

Yea, well said Grizzle.I had no clue there were so many backmarker fans out there. Had I known, I would've been a whole lot sensitive the way I placed my words/expressed my opinion.

I think most people like the underdog, and loves Cinderella stories when they happen in sports. Add the firs contemporary spanish team and then you have why so many people cares about HRT.

Hopefully these teams wont be back markers forever. I remember people bashing Superaguri and Force India/ Spyker. You cant expect new F1 teams to just materialize out of the air with all the funding and experience of the established teams. Not every one can be as lucky as Toyota F1 and Caterham.
