I remember Damon Hill once saying that the entire grid only used the same amount of fuel in a year as 1 Jumbo crossing the Atlantic, that was all testing, quali & racing, in the days of unlimited testing as well, don't know how true that is?
A fully loaded 747-8L carries 243,120L of fuel. An F1 car uses 75L per 100km (lets assume this figure), 24cars each doing say 700km per weekend = 12,600l of fuel. 20 Rounds is 252,000L.
Across a whole season the entire grid uses as much fuel as a single 747 can hold. Not a great deal really.
