If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

shelly wrote:gazzetta says "capo aerodinamico" - they seem to have fallen in the same misunderstanding as omnicorse (maybe the same person gave the hint to the two journalists while attending the fiorano event).

Usually you have head of aero, to whom head of cfd and head of wt report. Under head of wt you have several team leaders, who manage small groups of junior and senior aerodynamicists. So head of aero and team leader are two very differnt roles. Sometimes in hierarchy between head of wt and team leaders there are group leaders (es front, rear).

To see who is head of aero at mclaren now, check mylink above. To check the other role, try googling "aero team leader mclaren" or "aero team leader *team*" to see multiple answers. Or check the always good Peter Wright book on ferrari to get a 2000 scheme of hierarchy, which is old but some how representative.

Omnicorse and gazzetta often have good hints and info, but do not make the little internet effort needed to get them right and give correct news.
I was under the impression head of aero coordinated with the TD etc., while the chief aerodynamicist ran the aero team day to day.

I'm probably being clinical but I don't think we have te pace to qualify higher than 7th or 8th.
And betting anything that Vettel will be on pole. The Redbull is fast again-.-

As much as it is nice, quali doesn't mean much anymore unless you're in P1.

The changes are obviously working. Tomorrow should provide a lot of data to help the team understand and optimize what they have as well as helping them understand what they need to do in future.

I wasnt able to watch the quali, just read about it.

How many sets of softs did the team use for Alonso's qualifying? Im considering this in the context of Vettel's Q3 which is also a question for me. But did Ferrari sacrifice race strategy or was it a genuine 3rd?

Strange qually however.. Hamilton's gap is sideral.. Maldonado in 2nd.. I woudl really like to get a good understanding of what happened...

If we stick it to F2012 (ok ok mods.. :-) ), the change is huge... DO you think Ferrari is actually better on race pace? Would be excellent news...

I am not against Alonso or a fan of Massa, but you can really see how much the car was built around and for Fernando. The difference between them is just too big to blame it just on Massa's "lack" of skill (wich is a nonsense, Massa is very good). Hope for a good resunt tomorrow.

In terms of driving style, or just because of on track performance?

Frankly, I don't know that it really matters. Tomorrow's shaping up to be one hell of a tire lottery.

My 2 cents.... Massa have massive problem to find a good balanced setup, for his drive style, and so he have no confidence on the car.
After he's accident Felipe doesn't found the confidence to drive with risk.
