Grosjeans replacement at Monza will either be D'Ambrosio or Alguersauri. Id want to see D'Ambrosio.

Rumors floating about that Williams may loan out Bottas, Red Bull may give them Buemi or Bianchi may look for a buy in.

WIll Buxton said Luca Fillipi or Giorgio Pantano would be killer replacements as they are Monza specialists.

I'm no expert nor an insider of F1 but surely they would never use anyone form there title contenders, surely Bianchi and Buemi are out.

Would Hamilton's tweeting endanger his position at McLaren? Will it delay his re-signing?
di Resta to McLaren, anyone?

While I don't think it would happen, I'd love a shakeup at the top teams. Hasn't happened for a while... 2007 was the last IMO.

What I imagine is Hamilton being put on the long finger and told to behave himself and "we'll see".

He's not delivered what his speed offers and he is a bit disruptive still. The main reason I'd keep him in a team is to stop him doing better elsewhere. At Lotus, perhaps, beside Kimi.

di Resta is already in a Junior Merc and is a well behaved individual.

Hamsy is potentially a multiple world champion in F1 Mclaren know exactly what they have and won´t allow themselves to lose this jewel.
It´s still some way to go but Button is keeping him under pressure enough methinks.Has di Resta similar potential? I fail to see this .he has not impressed really comaring him to sutil or hulk .We certainly don´t know just how good these two are as there is only the comparison towards Fisi who had always the upper hand over sutil -no?

I don't think it will endanger his driving seat for the next year or so, but a tweet like that is a bit of a betrayal of the trust between him and the rest of the team. One doesn't just go tweeting data from your team like that. Even if it might be displayed in broadcast, you don't make it easier for the other side to find out.

If anything, Lewis may have gotten on the bad side of the lower echelons of the team. We'll see how this pans out for the rest of the season.

Force India points:
2012:
Paul Di Resta 28
Nico Hulkenberg 31
Car a bit of a dog, arround 7th fastest on the grid, but in the right conditions better than that.

2011:
Adrian Sutil 42
Paul Di Resta 27
Car is a decent car, 5th fastest on the grid, only early season the car didnt perform as expected.

2010:
Adrian Sutil 47
Vitantonio Liuzzi 21
Car a good one, but not good on high downforce tracks, very good in low downforce tracks.

2009:
Giancarlo Fisichella 8
Adrian Sutil 5
Vitantonio Liuzzi 0
Car very good in low downforce, but not great in high downforce at all.

Sutil got out performed by Fisi, but then setteled down to become a good able driver in 2010 and 2011. Di Resta was good last year, enough to worry Sutil. However this year Di Resta took that momentum into the start of this year, and owned Hulkenberg, however i think HUL was race rusty and is coming into his own now and has getting the better of DIR. HUL has gottn on with it whilst DIR has had management troubles and had his head swayed by a Ferrari link. DIR needs to get his head in order or HUL will start to own him.

Both of theese young guys are going to start to start to make in roads as Force India are notoriously late developers every season, it seems to be since 2009 that once the summer break is over they start to score more of their points than before the summer break. They will have their sights set on Sauber, who are only 21 points ahead of Force India. I am thinking that both Force India drivers will both be in new teams next year, one at Ferrari and one at Mercedes. I find it convienient that Sutil has been at Force Indias hospiality suite in the paddock for 6 or the last 8 GPs. I have a feeling that Sutil will be back at Force India in 2013 allongside a young pay driver like Valshecchi or Bianchi who has some F1 knolege and a decent €10m pay cheque for the seat.

As it is, the mid pack of the grid will have at least 3 seats avalable, if not 4 or 5.

Im looking at this for the 2013 grid:

01/02: Scuderia Ferrari = Alonso/(Massa/Di Resta/Hulkenberg)
03/04: Red Bull-Renault = Vettel/Webber
05/06: McLaren-Mercedes = Button/Hamilton
07/08: Lotus-Renault = Raikkonen/Grosjean
09/10: AMG-Mercedes = Rosberg/(Di Resta/Hulkenberg)
11/12: Sauber-Ferrari = Perez/(Pic/Massa)
14/15: Force India-Mercedes = Sutil/(Valshecchi/Bianchi/D'Ambrosio)
16/17: Williams-Renault = Maldanado/(Senna/Bottas)
18/19: Toro Rosso-Ferrari = (Riccardo/Vergne)/(Riccardo/Vergne/Razia)
20/21: Caterham-Renault = Kovalinenn/(Petrov/Van Der Garde)
22/23: Marussia-Cosworth = Glock/(Pic/Chilton/Bottas)
24/25: HRT-Cosworth = De La Rosa/(Clos/Nasir)

Rubens would like to be his replacement as well. But seeing as how he's been doing pretty poorly in IndyCar i'd say that's out of the picture

Heikki Kovalainen would be a wiser choice to replace Massa with.

Hamilton to Replace Schumacher

Post

Eddie Jordan apparently says Hamilton will replace Schumacher next year!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19489930

It sounds a lot like rumor mungoring though.

The only way I can see this making sense is if Hamilton is after a short term contract, so that he can move to RBR or Ferrari the year after.

Well, from the article it looks like the logic is: Lewis's people met with Mercedes, so he's going there. Even though they also met with Ferrari and continue to meet with McLaren.

Frankly I don't think it makes sense. He'd be better to take a one year deal with McLaren and reevaluate for 2014, even if he has to take a pay cut. At least with McLaren the car will be there or there abouts, and with next year being largely a carry over from this year he should have a front running car. Mercedes aren't going to give him that.

Eddie's actually not that bad at getting this sort of information, but given his inability to keep stum, I do wonder why anyone says anything remotely confidential to him! He got JB to McLaren right, after all.

What a massive vacuum at the top it would create, though. Had Mercedes been recruiting from the smaller teams Schumacher departing would not seem like such a seismic shift, but if Hamilton arrives from McLaren, well, wow.

Paul Di Rester and Raikkonen tipped for the empty seat but if that's the best Eddie can think of then it could be anyones - even a lifeline for Massa????

EDIT: Personally, I'd want Perez.

Apparently Hamilton to sing for Mercedes next year and Shumacher to retire at the end of season based on BBC news and Edie Jordan words

I'd like to see him sing for Mercedes that's for sure. He also might choose to sign for them too!

See my thoughts about the second option in the Silly Season 2012/2013 thread. Less Monza specific in there.
