Kimi making a come back to McLaren...that would be interesting. But in the other hand i cant stop thinking that Boullier will do everything to keep Kimi in Lotus.

If i was the team manager: my fav driver to make things interesting around Jenson would be Kamui Kobayashi.
Then, for a bit of symmetry, Kamui can grab himself a Brit girlfriend!

My guess : Mercedes wants to shut down its F-1 adventure as a team with the retirement of Schumacher. That's why the people at Brackley are looking for a replacement that may be useful to avoid the stopping. The arrival of Hamilton or Raikkonen may deliver that.

It was obvious to me that the tweeting was going to be used to, at the very least, strain negotiations if not force a breakdown. Leaks of a move are a way of escalating the same strain.

I still think di Resta would be the most likely replacement. He's quick enough, he's well behaved and he is british.

What about Gary Paffett taking the race seat at McLaren and di Resta going to Mercedes.. After all both have good links with Mercedes after their stints in DTM and Paffett knows the development of Macca better than anyone.

That way Hamilton can concentrate on what he likes doing best, hanging out with pointless celebrities.

Unfortunately I think he's too old to be a rookie. He had one shot I guess, with that Aston Martin/Prodrive thing, but that didn't pan out, so...

Hahahaha, not likely – though it would be great for Williams if they did.

If Hamilton really does move (which I doubt), I personally see DiResta in that seat. I could also see Raikonnen back there.

I've been thinking about this and I know i said in another thread i think he would work for him if he leaves, and i think it true. But.

I think Lewis should just sign a short term deal at Macca. Its obvious they'll be up there next year. He can then buy himself sometime to look elsewhere when there will be options open to him.

There's changes in 2014, so why not extend till the end of 2014 and see who's top dog.

2 can play the game Hamiltons playing and with so little options open he could lose out here if Macca start talking to someone else whos a happy number 2 to Button. Heikki, Glock etc. (it worked for them in 2008). Imagine Schui stays. What would he do then?

I really think this is down to what McLaren want from a driver in the same team as Button. Hamilton is fast but would a diligent number two to Button have done the team more good this year? Hamilton may need to move on for personal and commercial reasons but I think McLaren are the ones in charge of when he goes.

I wonder if Rosberg is off to Ferrari; apparently Massa has an offer from a midfield team.
