Likewise. So now I only support Kimi again.
Montezemelo wont call MS... I wish he would, but he just wont...ever.

true, didn't he just sign a new sponsorship deal?

I do think a retirement is likely.

Is it confirmed that Lewis will partner Rosberg or are the press just jumping on it because it's the most logical to assume? Was Rosberg already confirmed for 2013 with only Schumachers place in doubt?

Anyway, if it is Schumacher's seat Lewis is taking, then I would think the most likely to come of this is, sadly, Schumachers 2nd retirement. I would love to see him at Sauber - I think he would do a good job on the technical side and he still has pace. I feel sorry for Sauber in this as I'm sure Perez will leave quite a void, financially as well.

I doubt Schumacher will do that, as surely that would be seen as a 'desperate move' on this part, moving to a smaller team after what seems like a "kick-out" at Mercedes.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

You never know. LdM could not tolerate an arrogant Schumacher. But Schumacher has been dumped by his best friend and mentor Ross Brawn and is out of work. I think LdM will make the call.

Unless he's now saying to himself: "its about time Ross saw the light".
I dont think so Wunderkind. Something that MASSIVE, would have been in the press already, all be it just speculation, and there has been nothing on such a potential move. I say 0% chance, but I would love to eat my hat and be wrong...

Although disappointed with the probable retirement of schumi.. I wouldnt blame merc completely..
They asked him to sign up earlier in the year, he didnt and wanted more time (skeptical about performance or whatever).. so at some point they had to take a call..
yes, they should have waited for him to decide, but at somepoint the decision was to be taken else they might loose a good driver with a potential to drive the silver arrows for a long time...So with no disrespect they might have had taken a purely business decision rather a decision of the heart as ferrari did when they reatined massa instead of kimi.
Is it a good or bad decision (both for merc and hamilton) only time will tell.. In hindsight schumi joining merc seems a wrong decision now...
But we still need to wait to hear from merc.. Let us see if there are more twisys in the tale

Same here. Only reason I can think of is that Merc want LH to sell/promote brand name to younger generation.

I think same was the reason for McLaren. They have been showing some car/cars on Paris Motor Show. They would like to promote their brand in developing market like Latin America.

But Sauber business model is different. I am not suggesting anything but I am not ruling out the possibility.

His attenadance at the YDT (all be it only 1 example) suggests otherwise though. I think he got up this morning from a call. "Hi Michael, its Ross. I have bad news, the board decided.......")

Maybe, especially after the big accident in Singapore last sunday.

But I think he still has some fire in his belly. I'd love to see him race on in 2013.

Like i said ..... Michael future in F1 its over. I'm little sad but that's the best for him. I don't think so he will accept a Sauber. If he wants to continue probably he announce until today. there are 6 races to the end of the season enough for Michael to win one [-o<

actually i'm very sad .... a man like him didn't deserve this.... i'm so frustrated...why hasn't announced his retirement early in the season and preferred to be humiliated by Hamilton and Mercedes

He could also be the 4th king at merc..

Yes he will; his manager was in talks with Sauber (confirmed).

F1 is a cruel sport: Schumacher can't stop Hamilton going to Merc. However, what I find disgusting is the way this matter has unfolded. Merc spewed lie after lie, I'm glad Schumacher is leaving. Both he and NR deserve much better. Is NR now automatically number 2? If so, he should consider his options. Merc have short-sold bother their drivers. Schumacher is seemingly not wanted nor deserves to be driving for such a sub-standard team.

Have fun Lewis, it'll be a rocky ride that's for sure.
