What makes you think that Sauber will be competitive as this year ? think that frustration could support Michael if Hamilton would win the race and he would fight for P10-15.
This era with small teams fight for victories will end soon and Michael know that !. I don't want to see him fight for nothing.

guys its over ... last season for him lets hope for one win till end. Schumi will retire :)

ruined my day! Schumacher will retire. I think we all realise that the Sauber gains a lot of its performance from happening to be incredibly good on the tires, and has been since season start - but next year I expect the teams to make a step, and then those with the superior downforce and efficiency and drivability will come to the fore. Including Mercedes.

I don't agree with this.

Sauber have proven they can think 'out-of-the-box' with their exhaust idea. If anything, I don't see Merc improving: for three (or four if you count Brawn) years they've shown they cannot get a handle on tyre degredation. Why should that change?

I think it will be a wise decision for Michael to step out and put an end to his already stellar career.

it's sad to watch a legend like him in this situation but he want that !!! he could announce his retirement few race ago.

I guess this will go down in the long history of failed comebacks. Although it depends how you look at it. Ross Brawn has credited Schumacher with being very important to how Mercedes has developed in the last 3 years - in particular, I think I remember Aldo Costa saying the temptation to work with Schumacher again was his reason for signing with Merc.

The results weren't there, but maybe the progress was. The team after all is almost unrecognisable from a senior engineer perspective, but also a technology perspective, than the team bought from Brawn.

I hope they can give Schumi a win before season end, but unfortunately imo his best chance was in Suzuka which after the 10 place will be very difficult.

It would be funny , if MSC goes to ferrari and Massa goes to Sauber ( although it is tacit that this is not going to happen ) coz its where both came from .

I really hope he joins another team and dominates Mercedes next season.
"There is a credit card with the Ferrari logo, issued by Santander, which gives the scuderia a % of purchases made with the card...

I would guess that such a serious amount of money would allow them to ignore the constant complains of a car that was nowhere near as bad as their #1 driver tried to sell throughout the season.

Heck, a car on which Massa finishes in the podium or has to lift so that his teammate finishes ahead (As we saw often in the final races of the year) is, by no means, a "bad" car."

Do you have the lottery tickets by any chance? I'm not referring to the ones supplied by Pirelli either.

Face the reality: MGP have humiliated him, he won't stand for that.

i want him to carry on 100% and i know and still believe he can win but realisticly theres only ferrari and sauber, in 2013 red bull, mclaren, lotus, ferrari and mercedes will have 1 champion each, sauber's not a front running team and ferrari won't sign michael, pray to god they prove me wrong by all means but it's just sad and unfair to see michael leave like this, he never got to drive in a front running car to show the world of what he was still capable of, i love f1 but if michael walks away i will too, he's the reason why i watch f1 even though it was tough watching this team called mercedes gp amg f1 pertronas what ever let him down. oh and i don't want to see michael go in a management role for mercedes they don't deserve him.

dude you must face the reality. you troll 2-3 weeks about how Michael will remain with Mercedes and how car suffer a failure last race when almost everybody said he will retire.
