Yeah, I also never got that. Perez obviously has showed that he can drive fast and consistent. It's bs then to come up with experience. Just look at Pedro de la Rosa: massive amount of experience but never really had the speed anyway. Anyhow, still doesn't change the fact Perez never was a factor, whatever the reason is.

Montezemolo need someone who is mature enough to handle the No2 position. Perez could have been like Weber >

Yes, or he could have been like Button – equal status in a team, which would you choose?

The tactic of having a N01 and N02 driver is vastly overrated. Most of the times the 2 drivers actually never drive in eachothers ways, making the tactic useless.

I don't rate button highly, fully expect Perez to be the more dominant driver, although i expect he wont be given No1 status.

Dont forget Lewis Hamilton was Ron Dennis' find, i think with him moving out of direct control of F1 operations Lewis wasn't feeling the love.

i was thinking Maldonado it ferrari, but is he locked into williams?

We know what Montezemolo would choose.

Or, and this might sound crazy, Scuderia wants a driver that is capable of winning races and titles from the go... It's best for Scuderia and Perez that he is in McLaren, he'll sharpen his skills and go to Ferrari completely ready for great things.

I would rate Perez as much more likely to win a championship next year than Massa, even if you put the two in the same team.

Would be great too see MSC and ALG in the Sauber next year, but just to confirm how bad ALG is. sorry fans! and maybe he is better than I thought, then would accept that.
So where is ALG going, SAUBER, FINDIA or MARUSSIA or HRT or Ferrari?
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Undoubtedly... However, is he a man that would want to come for a single year in any team, and to know he will be replaced by someone else next year. His results speak differently. There isn't much point in bringing a talent as him to a great team for just one year.

I think that the Scuderia want to win WCC titles. To do this, they need two very good drivers. Yes Alonso doesn't want to be outdone by his teammate, but at the end of the day, he drives for Ferrari. I think that Massa will be held on to for one more season, and when 2014 rolls around, Vettel will be paired with Alonso.

What do you think of these musical chairs?

Massa to Sauber
Kovaleinen to Ferrari
Schumacher to Caterham?

Or
Massa to Caterham
Kova to Sauber
Schumacher to Ferrari?

Why do people rate kovaleinen so highly? He was poor at mclaren, and hasn't been convincingly better than his team mates at caterham.

The same happens with Glock. All his merits are podiums with the fastest Toyota car. I bet that someone better than him and Jarno Trulli could have done better with that car.

A driver is driving the car and if he´s really talented he can also drive development of the car and drive the team to become better ...what hecan´t do is lift the car to podium finishes when it´s at 105 or 106 % of the necessary elapsed time to be at the front..

kovalainen has been constantly the guy delivering the best results in Q and race of the three new teams ,and Glock certainly was constantly the driver who showed the cars potential..and just look what he did the other week in singapore ...he brought more money to the team then a paydriver would ever want to invest in such a team...
