Look. I'm really disgusted with the way Mercedes have treated Michael Schumacher, they clearly used his name to gain sponsors and big money etc as they need that exposure for the first couple of years. But they should be ashamed of themselves big time for this disgusting and vile treatment of schumacher, it comes across as very, very back stabbing and vindictive behavior.

This ...Dieter Zetsche should be ashamed of himself, he has the audacity to [say] "not hitting targets" ... Who in their right minds could honestly believe that piece of junk Michael has been given for three years could win a race or regularly get on the podium... Scumacher has actually gone up in my estimation I have always admired him but the way he has handled this ... He deserves a pat on the back ...

How long do people think until its not silver ?

the biggest give away of how bad the breakup was could be determined by how quickly his jet stops being silver and the most interesting thing could be what colour he changes it to.

I've heard that black and gold is the new trend in town, and uncle Bernie approves, but then again black and white with a bit of Chelsea blue is always a nice option

I agree and believe me Haug and Brawn didnt want Michael to go.. It was more Mercedes board, who gave Michael deadline till 1st September that he must decide if he wants to stay. But Michael also didn't know what to do, because he is intelligent- he knows that Merc is not in good shape, and I think maybe he want this to happen, because, he knows that this is maybe the only way to return to Ferrari (maybe 2013 Sauber and then Ferrari), becuase as you can see, Mercedes team doesn't go anywhere.. As I sad, they reminds me on Toyota, and also, you can see that this moment Forc India with Merc engine is also better than Mercedes.. Something big big is not right at Merc.

He'll either go down the one of these three avenues:

1: Become a driver/Developer for Sauber Ferrari
2: Become the 2nd driver/Developer for Scuderia Ferrari (Its plausible considering Ferrari would like a man assisting Alonso until 2014 that's of course if Massa drives horribly for the remainder of the season).
3. Retire at the end of the season leaving full aware that his career/records will not be tarnished/trashed and left in a good light for the long term future! :)

Regardless of what peoples feelings/opinions of Michael Schumacher are we can all agree he has left a mark in Formula 1 forever, some people will say bad, others will say great.

In my humble opinion what he has achieved was not only good for the sport, but it was good for the fans as it built a power base of loyal/devout tifosi/Schumacher followers but as well as creating the arch rivalry group of fans that loathed Michael Schumacher (Buying Mclaren mercandise, Sauber BMW, Toyota, Williams BMW). So in essence the sport/teams are the winners. =D> =D>

(once again thats my own opinion, nothing more, nothing less).
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Only his 'haters' will suggest he really has tarnished his legacy - he's not the same driver he was in his prime. That doesn't mean to say he's lost it either: because he hasn't.

As a fan, I enjoy his presence on the grid, in some ways he's the reason I follow F1 with great interest. Thus I don't really care whether or not he wins a race, as long as, he is enjoying himself.

Mercedes gave Schumacher a chance to race in F1 again. They even offered him a new contract to drive and an executive position in the organization. He waffled and missed his chance. Maybe he's become too soft for the F1 shark tank. At least his fans seem that way. :P

Re: Future of Schumacher

Suddenly i have the thoughts that Schumacher could jump around mid-team to help them develop. As Brawn himself has acknowledge that during the 3years Schumacher been with them, he has help alot in term of building the team (although we have not seen the outcome of that)

He could earn lots of money by doing this. And that could be interesting as all the team will have basically similar structure. That will help them to fight with top teams. (closing down the gap of the field)

or at best, he could just advise as other former champions did (stewart at lotus, lauda at mercedes)

I don't know its just a thought. Afterall he got the reputation...

This muppet Dieter Zetsche should be ashamed of himself, he has the audacity to spew nonsense about schummi "not hitting targets" come on now looooool. Who in their right minds could honestly believe that piece of junk Michael has been given for three years could win a race or regularly get on the podium   . Scumacher has actually gone up in my estimation I have always admired him but the way he has handled this humiliation. He deserves a pat on the back because in all honestly I would have taken this humiliation very badly lol. He has basically been dumped in favor of the little cry baby hamilton that has to hurt really badly   .

I don't know how Schumacher can even show his face in the next six races that will be so hard in my opinion knowing everyone is talking about you laughing wow    . THE HUMILIATION IS TO MUCH in my opinion i would not turn up
Michael can handle this! He will also only say good thing about Mercedes, Respect!

SHAME on you, Mercedes and the "Board"! You only used his name to create topteam status.

I read the article and it seems they're just predicting. If he is going to retire, he will announce it and probably announce his future plans to his fans. If you read, there is nothing related to that in that evil-mean article of theirs.
