oh dear - Romain

Post

Open letter to the FIA
Please hand Romain Grosjean a 10 place grid penalty for the rest of the year. He’s a lovely chap. Possibly a future champion. But 2012 is not his time.

2012 is one of the rare vintage F1 years in the 25 years I’ve followed the sport. We can’t have another potential title contender “Romain Grosjean’d” on the first lap. F1 should not have the 2012 championship Romain Grosjean’d.

I’m sure every fellow driver would be happy to hand him 2 points each or $50,000 each – whatever Romain is driving for.

Please Romain – don’t have every F1 fan on the planet Romain Grosjean’d – by Romain Grosjean’ing any of the remaining races.

Enjoy F1 in 201 like the rest of us – on TV. Come back when it’s your time. 2012 is not your time.

I have a better idea: make him start every race from the pitlane. That way he can't mess up other drivers their starts.

An even better idea. Revoke his superlicense

His driver's license too please. I don't want to meet a driver on the road who has a spacial awareness problem.

But surely his antics are spicing and mixing up the results and making for a good show, right?

Then they need to revoke Hamilton's superlicense as well for last season's antics.
"There is a credit card with the Ferrari logo, issued by Santander, which gives the scuderia a % of purchases made with the card...

I would guess that such a serious amount of money would allow them to ignore the constant complains of a car that was nowhere near as bad as their #1 driver tried to sell throughout the season.

Heck, a car on which Massa finishes in the podium or has to lift so that his teammate finishes ahead (As we saw often in the final races of the year) is, by no means, a "bad" car."

I would send him off with an instant drive through instead of taking his normal grid position for the rest of the year -as safety measure.

How many race starts did Hamilton wreck out last year?

Mr Chicane himself.
If you were nearby, he would hit you out of shear shock.

Still he should be remembered for pushing the boundaries of F1 car design forward wrt to safety back then.

I concur with Raptor.

I'm under the impression Romain is in the Senna's School of "always go for the gap" except Romain never stuck around the for the second lesson: "Don't be stupid"

Webber could've had a good result and Red Bull could've easily had a 1-2.

Romain has to get out of F1, again.

De Crasheris as he was known as. I caught the tail end of him, however i was only about 5 at the time and only wanted Mansell to win.

As for Grosjean, tell him to go away for an early winter holiday and take Custard to see what he can do till the end of the season, put him in the shop window for other teams to look at, or even to take a consistent look at in case they want to replace Grosjean if they want to give him 3 races off.

Lets face it, drivers like Grosjean and Maldanado are quick drivers, however they have an edge to them that you can dull a little but that may make them even slower than without the flaws. Not sure what you can do personally, possibly just make the sporting regs where you can give them race bans every first three reprimands then 3 race bans after every two after that?

I think Grosjean needs more than a strip torn off him however. Let him get the drivers rip into him at a drivers meeting or something?

This seat is one that someone like Di Resta may be interested in if Grosjean is given his pink P45 slip again.
