I'll be a Ferrari fan 'til the day I die.

That doesn't mean that I'm a big Schumacher fan though. I respect his supreme skills, knowledge and dedication. But too many times, he's made me cringe. I think that's why the win in China was so good for me. It was a great race, and it was a good win that I could be proud of.

I'll love seeing Kimi in red next year.

All-time, for me it's about Nigel Mansell. Excellent driver and completely fearless. And I always have a soft spot for trash-talkin' guys who back up every word.

As I'm still a youngster... I don't have idols from the old days! From Senna, I can only remember his crash and a lot of the other drivers, I don't really know much about. But as I started to gain interest in F1, Villeneuve was the one I liked the most! I'm also a fan of Alonso, as you all know  !
I also love Mark Webber, the silent one in F1, together with Heidfeld, who I have great respect for as well. You don't hear much about him and he's not the one that searches the spotlights, but he puts down good results!
For next season I'm really looking forward to see how Heikki Kovalainen will do and Nelson Piquet Jr. (in the test seat)!

I'm a fan of Renault and I will remain a fan even after the departure of Fernando (and with slow fisico as first driver)
It's a youthful team! I also hope that they won't change their colors as Mild Seven will not longer sponsor them!

I read that ING looks to be Renault's "main sponsor" next year. If so, look for Renault to have an orange and bluish purple livery next year.

I've heared about that as well....but it can't be orange! I don't want to look like a Dutchman when I buy a Renaultshirt :P ! And as Spyker already will be orange, as Dutch team!

If they change colors, what will I have to do with my blue renaultshirts than? :?

:P :P :P

I would like Renault to go back to the old white and yellow, before they only supplied engines. I'd also love to see Prost drive one, and with a turbo, that would be good.

I'm a youngster too (insert generic joke: well, young compared to the rest of you, add smiley:  ) I've only been watching since I was 8 in 98, but I've seen enough videos to see who is an F1 great and an F1 driver. I base my choices on the previouse page on how they appear off the track and the amazing stories I've heard aswell as how they drove. With the exception of Tazio Nuvolari of course, he raced before cameras were popular and I base my support of him only on the stories and records of him.

Driver: Schumacher, Team: Toyota (now), but I am also a huge Ferrari fan.

As for ING becoming Renault's main sponsor...man, those cars will look ugly. I just don't like that orange color. However, that company will be able to inject huge amounts of money. I know that they are always in top 10 on Forbes list.

Mark Webber for current drivers.
Ayrton Senna for ex-drivers.

I have respect for Kimi, but since he is going to Ferrari, I have lost some of that respect.

I don't like Schumacher or Alonso.

McLaren is my favourite team.

Of current teams, Renault and Williams. A long time fan of theirs. Also Honda, Gil Deferin was a great driver and I think he will get results there soon.

Hiistoric teams, I was a big fan of Jordan. Growing up it was Brabham and Tyrrell and Renault/Benneton.

Of current drivers, Webber, Coulthard and Button. I think Mark will be the next multiple championship winner, not Kimi. Kubica is coming on fast, but time will tell. I wish JV was still in that seat, but it's hard to argue with results.

Historic drivers, Irvine, Mario Andretti, D. Hill, G. & J. Villenueve, Prost, Alboreto, Bellof, Boutsen, Hakkinen and of course Senna.

Trivia: Who was the third Villlenueve family member to drive F1?

In my young days (1982, 6 years old) I've cheered for Gilles Villeneuve. Alesi has been a personal favourite, also.

In terms of teams, I was an hardcore Benetton fan. Since last year, I cheer for McLaren, which I find an example in good management and organization.

Since everybody are bringing up their older favorites, let add to that list.
James Hunt was my favorite growing up. I also liked Tom Pryce and Chris Amon. The old Matra was a not so good car, but their 12 sounded great. As did the BRM's.

I haven't really had a favourite driver since Senna. I will next year, Kovalainen. Doesn't really matter how he does, he'll still be my fav. 8)

My last favourite team was Lotus. Don't have one now.

My favourite drivers; Senna, Hakkinen, Schumi, Alonso and Kimi. There are many others, but these stand out because of their skill.

Teams; Ferrari, BMW and Toyota.
The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

One more to add to the list. Probably the classiest drivers of all time, then and now., on and off the track. I was fortunate to see him drive in my younger days.

Graham Hill !
