it would be funny if his race engineer replied to Kimi like Kimi replied to him!
Kimi: ''Tyres are off, tyres are off!''
race engineer: ''Yes,yes, yes, we know! Your tyres are off, your tyres are off!''

or--
Kimi: ''Steering is bad, i can't drive like this!''
race engineer: ''Leave us alone, we know what we are doing!''

On the Ferrari/Kimi side, I'm going to say something controversial and point out that - for whatever reaon - he wasn't fast enough to establish himself as number one over his team mate. That also cost him the 100% blind faith of the team that Michael and Alonso enjoy(ed).

He took 6 wins vs. 3 against Massa in the first season, but that winning stat could easily be turned round when you take Brazil and France (where a slow pit stop cost Massa the lead) into account. And then in 2008 and the start of 2009, Massa was simply quicker.

For everything you may say about Schumi's advantages, the fact is his team mates were rarely close in terms of raw pace, and that includes Massa in 2006. I intentionally wrote "for whatever reason" because there are some explanations that I'm sure Kimi fans would give, but the fact that he wasn't able to dominate Massa hurt him, I think.

I don't know in what matter this article reflects the truth, but I'm quite sure that it's on par with what really happened at Ferrari.

The thing is, the engineers must do whatever it takes to help the driver while he's in the car on there on the firing line. Some drivers like to hear all the info they can get and are able to mentally block off the messages that come in the wrong moment, but others get distracted easily. The team's job is to do whatever it takes to put their driver into the most comfortable condition to optimise performance.

I think Ted Kravitz mentioned that it was not really Kimi's race engineer on the radio but some other team member. His engineer has been working with him since McLaren (but not during Ferrari days) and actually advised against this kind of communication.

Kimi Raikkonen gives entire Lotus team radio message T-shirts

I think that behind closed doors at Lotus he is a team player, talks with the engineers and mechanics and he already said what he wants for the car next year. Bottom line is that Kimi is Kimi, he likes to drive and doesn't like media attention and giving long complicated answers (that people and the media seem to like) to simple (and sometimes stupid) questions. That's it. We can't really tell much more or make an accurate oppinion because we don't know him personally.

Leave him alone, he knows what he's doing.

I dunno how far the whole story fits the scene. But every evidence put in that article seems to suggest so. That dramatic decline in form of Kimi in 2008 just shows that something went terribly wrong within. This will always remain as a mystery though.

This story is fan biased and i don't believe it.
Ferrari is full of politics and ''spaghetti management'', but i don't believe that Ferrari could produce car updates (on purpose) that would give Massa advantage over Kimi in 2008, and then after that make such bad cars in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
We all know today that is very hard and takes so much time and money to make car that is contender for WDC and WCC. Ferrari had such a car in 2008 , and after updates in the first part of season Massa was faster than Kimi.
Maybe updates suited Massa better, but that showed to Ferrari that Kimi (Ferrari 2007 WDC) either isn't so adaptable to changes , or just doesn't care and doesn't put himself 100% into racing.
Ferrari had to develop car in two different directions (Massa's direction that works, and Kimi 's direction that isn't sure to produce step forward) , they had to produce two diferent cars , which is probably impossible today.
Kimi not being able to beat Massa with car that gave Massa chance to beat Hamilton for WDC didn't look too good to Ferrari bosses.
I know kimi said many times that his motivation isn't issue , but '' i don't care'' attitude put him away from team and from giving himself 100% for team. Stefano Domenicalli admitted that it was his wish too, to bring Alonso in Ferrari.
Alonso was totally opposite than Kimi, and he suits Ferrari perfectly . Kimi had '' i don't care'' atittude all his career, but when Ferrari changed their atittude to ''we don't care'' their marriage was gone.
I think that at the end Kimi-Ferrari combination couldn't work .

I know the last race was in hot weather but he looked like he was sweating more when being interviewed on the podium than at any other time. That made me think he may suffer from that. There are some very gifted people in this world who totally collapse when addressing a group of people.
I suspect he might be autistic or aspergers unless hes a very different person off camera

I always felt Ferrari opting for a (severely) injured Massa over Raikkonen defied logic.
