Totally gutted. Never mind, it's not all over 'till it's over.

Plus Alonso will have his fair share of engine failures next year. 8)

Alonso had his share this season as well! He had one and now Schumacher had one! If you just mean that it will happen more next season, than you will probably be right, though McLaren's engine is more and more reliable than in the beginning of the season

Once again, a race that could not be missed. Nothing ultra spectacular, and of course, the one big event of Shu's engine expiring.
When someone does well, they deserve praise. After all the hype and nasty words, Ferrari showed up and did the good thing, by going fast, and attempting victory by just going fast. Nothing but good oldfashoined racing. And when Shu had to take that difficult walk back to the pits, he carried himself with absolute grace and class.
It's not over, it's not over. Remember, Schumacher seemed to have impossible odds after the Canadian GP. Although he now has to rely on a failure by Renault or Alonso, never count him out. Anything can happen in motorsport.
it appears Renault have achieved parity in performance with Ferrari, once everthing settled down, Schumacher and Alonso were running very similar lap times. Toyota pulled off a miracle, qualifying on very low amounts of fuel, and somehow finishing in the points. McLaren have fallen out of the garbage truck, into a cesspool, they have a long way to go to get back in competition. Same with Williams, they really have fallen off the mountain. :(
BMW and Honda have proven they have arrived, they will be two teams to watch next season, and who knows, could launch a genuine fight for the title. Keep an eye on red Bull too, they sucked this race, but that is because the team is spending all their resources on next year's car.... look for massive improvements.
Mixed feeling for Alonso and Kimi. Looks like Fernando will win the title before he has to go to a very questionable, unreliable, inconsistent team, and Kimi, he can look past Brazil and see those nice, shiny pearly red gates of what must be heaven to him, Ferrari.

it was a huge disappointment!
but the best car, or actually the one with the best reliability won...
the renault guys played it safe, well, and they deserved the win..
Dave! i don't think that the engine's failure had anything to do with the wet race at china, but the last engine spec ferrari had introduced proved to be much more powerfull, but much moe unreliable as well...
i guess the season is over now.... it would have been agreat battle to watch in Brazil with two points separating the drivers.. anyway, i think michael have nothing more to prove, he did his job perfectly without any errors in the last couple of races... so HATS OFF MICHAEL!

Anything CAN happen in motosport! Look at what happened today and what happened at Monza with Alonso! The battle isn't over yet, that's true, but Schumacher already has thrown the towel in the ring as he says that the drivers championship is decided!

If you want us to think this way, it only takes to crash him on Brazil... er, I mean, for him to crash on Brazil. Do you want me to talk with the cousins at Medellín? We can fix that. :)

I am truly sorry F1.redbaron, there is no fun in an engine blowing.

However, think how Alonso fans felt the day before yesterday: as Tp points out, it's not over till it's over. Alonso have to finish in the points. NOW, I would like for Schumacher to have better luck.

Who has more second place positions this year? Alonso or Schumacher? From the sad words of my fellow forum Ferrari fans, I guess is Alonso.

I don't think that matters.

Schumi can tie the points only by winning and if he does, then he has more wins than Alonso.

Yeah, you can PM me with their contact info :D :D :D

The only thing that bothers me about Schumacher's engine blowing is that it couldn't have come at the worse time. The gap between MS & FA is (almost) too big. It will take a miracle for Alonso not to finish the race (Ide, where are you when I need you?), and that is why I was considering the alternative - i.e. kidnaping him...

Did anybody see that movie Celtic Pride? Something like that :D

You guys need to think outside the bra, oops, the box sometimes. Fernando Alonso is still very young, and at that age, the blood boils quickly. So this is what we do, without touching him.
Gather all the lovely Ferrari loving lasses in and around Brazil, and give them all one huge grandstand all to themselves. Preferably in a braking zone. Then, on cue, when Alonso flashes by, they lift their shirts and flash him........
I mean can you think of a bigger, and better distraction?

And heck, who cares who won anyways, with that going on?

I was getting worried for a bit it has to be said, back to winning ways tho Fernando, jobs a good un :)

As for MS, I have to say a blow up is unfortunate, my stomach sank when Fernando's went @ Monza so I know how he feels, thats not to say I didnt cheer when I saw the smoke tho hehe.

Still, a single point needed for Alonso to retain the title :) & well whats the harm in letting MS win his last race?? FA just lifting on the last straight to let him through ;) Perfect lol

Had Thanksgiving dinner, had to download the race and my God... Yes Yes and Yes, a gift from the gods. I must say where did Toyota come from, sucks to be trulli becuase ralf was complaining that he was slow.

Albers accident was spectular (in the sense that all those parts exploded), but why not yellow flag?

Did Alonso wave to Schumi when his engine blew?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.
