Shell builds plexiglass V6 to show oil circulation

Here's something I found today on youtube, and seemingly not many have found it yet.

Shell has built a Nissan V6 engine, twice the size of the original one, and then filled it up with Helix lubration oil to show how it moves through the engine. Interesting piece of engineering and education!

Looks awesome, but does the real engine have oil jets to lubricate/cool the underside of the pistons area? or is that not done anymore these days?

This is still a very common practice.

The next generation Corvette uses oil jets for cooling the pistons, but instead of the usual constant flow from the jets, the ECU controls when the jets are used.
