Here is a quote from RD:
"There is always going to be expectation, but this is a hero-to-zero sport. Why put everything at risk?"

"The guy's had a brilliant career so far and his expertise, commitment and attitude doesn't just relate to driving a grand prix car. He is a complete, rounded individual who has got all sorts of pressures that are going to come to bear on him.

"I'd much rather see him as equipped as he could be if he is given the chance of racing a McLaren in the future and I can't see now that throwing him in the deep end is a particularly smart thing to do."
I must say I totally agree with him. especially the bit about:
"all sorts of pressures that are going to come to bear on him."

Already everyone is making a big deal out of this week's test, claiming it to be a "shoot out". These same people will forget he has no F1 race experience of and crucify both him and RD if it doesnt work out in brazil.
Long experience has taught me this about the status of mankind with regards to matters requiring thought. The less people know and understand about them, the more positively they attempt to argue concerning them; while on the other hand, to know and understand a multitude of things renders men cautious in passing judgement upon anything new. - Galileo..

Why not put Paffet in the seat he'll do better than Hamilton could and in a couple of races he'll out perform Button and DC who are just second rate!!

I think you're pushing it too far there Spyker. I think Paffett unless he finds a good sponsor will never get a drive and I have big doubts that he could beat Hamilton. This guy beat Rosberg in the junior categories with the same team, and Nico is no slouch.

Yea but Paffet's got the testing under him and I think that if Hamilton gets the seat FA will beat him enough for him to just become the next DC.

A user in another forum read in auto, motor & sport today that Paffet apparently quit his mclaren contract.
Can anyone confirm this?

Doesn't Pedro have a little brother who races in DTM?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

HAMILTON WON'T RACE IN BRAZIL
Ron Dennis has cast doubt on any chances of Lewis Hamilton racing for McLaren at next weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix after telling reporters that he won't throw the Brit into the "deep end."

Hamilton began his second test programme with McLaren at Jerez on Tuesday, sparking rumours that he may just replace Pedro de la Rosa for the season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix, thereby making his F1 debut with an eye to racing full-time in 2007.

However, Dennis is reluctant to put Hamilton in a race-seat that soon as he feels one bad performance could ruin the 2006 GP2 Champion's F1 career.

"There is always going to be expectation, but this is a hero-to-zero sport. Why put everything at risk?" Dennis told The Times.

The trouble with the rat-race is that even if you win, you're still a rat.

At 25 Fernando Alonso is already a double World Champion - the youngest ever. He will move to McLaren and will be paired with Lewis Hamilton

Good news i reakon though, mind it's a shame for DLR, he drove like a winner on a few occasions, Hungary particularely, he deserves a seat somewhere, and not as T driver.
