Right, and that means that no further discussion can be allowed on the technical details of what was going on, and why the inputs disagreed.

"Ferrari asked, by means of a letter, for a clarification from FIA regarding VET's overtaking move on VER during lap 4 of the Brazilian GP," the official @InsideFerrari account tweeted.

However, with the FIA saying there is no case to answer in the media and Ferrari not lodging an official protest, it is highly unlikely the issue will go any further.

--------

End of the line i guess, Yellow, Green, Blue or Rainbow color flag, doesnt matter now.

digging the issue further would be like...... beating the snake trail after its long gone.

Sometimes a bit more faith in stewards' decisions is the healthy approach.
The whole Internet F1 community suddenly turned in Hercules Poirot's plunging into speculations based on limited data, lack of knowledge of the rules and most important - lack of any details of the actual arrangement of the systems on a particular track as well as the particular clarifications and instructions, given to the drivers by RC at the briefing.

Of course the flags matter, and they matter more so than the lights. Vettel went by the official signs which were the FLAGS. So get over the non-issue, for goodness sake.

It cannot be more clear than this: The marshal (in the upper right corner of the screen) removes the yellow and waves the green, already in Lap 3. There's no question about this.
I actually don't understand this fuzz.
We're not discussing that anymore.

Nice debate, I have been a ferrari fan since I was 7 years old (1997), the bottom line is ferrari didn't build a fast (reliable but not fast) car for fernando (at least during the first half of the season). The car then became good at race trim but S*cked at one lap pace. Well the point I am trying to make is Ferrari need a HUGE advantage to beat redbull simply because Alonso has one no 2 driver (massa) but vettel has three no 2 drivers (Webber, Vergne and Ricciardo).

Ecapox - we're actually discussing the technology behind the way the lights get communicated to the dash right now.
