How much power was Vettel missing in brazil?

Would the exhaust being exposed meant it cooled quicker in the dry than if it was still covered/undamaged?
Could the heat not then escape easier?

If it was still covered/undamaged it would indeed cool less quick, BUT it would NOT need that extra cooling. The internals have heat resisting materials that can cope with those higher temperatures. With the exhaust that much exposed, the external parts, which aren't that heat resistant, would have catched fire if the temperature remained the same.

The rain definitely helped the crack exhaust because the ambient air is cooler and the water helps cool everything. Water takes away a lot more heat than air. Thats why you feel cooler when spray with water even if the water is the same temperature as air.

Considering he had 4 other cars working for him, I wouldn't call that a power deficit at all :lol:
