Does everything you do revolve solely around 'driver x is the best' or 'driver y is the worst'?
Were you offended when the 2006 year review not only said Alonso was champion, but also remarked how Schumacher got the record for most pole positions? If you're not interested in the statistics, then simply ignore them. Some people are...

I predict this thread will be closed soon.

I think this rating is fine. I wonder what Hamilton did this year that he lost almost 100 points compared to Alonso.
However, this ratings will never represent the reality since not all drivers drive the same car.

Whatever gets you going mate...Its just that actually the article you posted indeed was about 'driver x is the best' (for 2012) i didnt see any of (your?) statistics in the Autosport link you posted.Title was "Formula 1 team bosses vote Fernando Alonso as best driver of 2012" and thats that. Its really ok if Vettel (which you seem to favor and nothing wrong with that) doesnt come on top everytime. My objection was that you could as well open a thread including statistics or simply not including links to original articles when the rest of the content is irrelevant. That would be all thanks.

On topic i agree with McMrocks, but its a good list nevertheless (albeit not perfect) based on the drivers performance in 2012.

It's irrelevant to you perhaps. Luckily, you're not the only one, now are you?
How about next time, you don;t immediately act butt-hurt because someone takes the time to expand on something.
Every single time, the moment something positive is said about Vettel, there's a shitload of butthurt.

You are so biased that you don't care that one interesting thing to take away from the big picture for instance is that our perception of this era of Alonso/Vettel/hamilton is pretty much shared by the team bosses. No, the first and only thing you can do, is bitch that Vettel tops some list.

This board has been dragged down so far that nothing can be discussed without someone bitching driver x is painted in a good picture. Get over it.

Well since i cant downvote and also since you are taking this to me personally ill have to answer you one more time. How you come concluding i am biased? Also, how come your perception is shared with team bosses when they nominate Alonso as the best and you come with statistics to steal some of the spotlight for Vettel.Something similar happened on another thread started by you not long ago IIRC.Anyway im not intrested in going on with this anymore, feel free to downvote/report or whatever...Some people will share the same opinion with me some wont but it seems you are the biased around here not me.

The fact that you perceive a simple analysis about the background of these votes as "statistics to steal some of the spotlight for Vettel". The only thing you are interested in regarding this subject is obviously Alonso, hence why you act so butthurt that there are 'statistics stealing the spotlight '. It seems unphatomable to you that anyone would ask "interesting! who won last year?", "did Alonso win before?" or any other information regarding this new 'award'. All you care about is Alonso and his spotlight.

It's off-topic, it's sour grapes, and it only comes into existance because you care about the spotlight.

I don't abuse the voting system as a popularity contest.

I thought the history of the pole was interesting. It really shows how high Vettel, Alonso, and Hamilton are rated compared to the rest of the field. The gap between the 5 year 4th place and 3rd place is huge, but 3rd to 1st gap is not so much.

Then I'm sorry, but it's simply stupid that you choose to look for problems that don't exist. That you choose to think about spotlights rather than simple background information.

You can also just choose to discuss a topic like any other reasonable human being, discuss what is presented, not discuss what you choose to be intended.

It's all about choice, and you have made the choice to look for evil.
I hate being the girlscout that comes at your door "to fund her political propaganda with cookies".

This is an opinion isnt it? Based on what was presented to me as you say...Didnt include the words mnmracer...You could as well ignore it (as you suggesting me ignoring it).Instead you go defending and accusing for bias isnt it funny? By the way calling people stupid and unreasonable because they dont fit your agenda shows really your background.

I called the act of looking for problems that don't exist stupid, not you nor your opinion.
