You own Ferrari?Cylinder wrote:I'm just proud he drives for our team to be honest, he's the best thing to happen to us in years.
if one is forced to pick a yardstick for modern-day F1 drivers after the 2012 season, it would be hard to look beyond Alonso after the year he has just had.

No, the first and only thing you can do, is bitch that Vettel tops some list. Also, how come your perception is shared with team bosses when they nominate Alonso as the best and you come with statistics to steal some of the spotlight for Vettel.Something similar happened on another thread started by you not long ago IIRC.Anyway im not intrested in going on with this anymore, feel free to downvote/report or whatever...Some people will share the same opinion with me some wont but it seems you are the biased around here not me.

Frankly Vettel seemed to struggle quite a lot this year in Qualifying when the car wasn´t absolutely perfect for him.
Bit like a Button esque driver but much quicker over a lap when the car is perfect, or close to perfection.
Well, if you take Vettel's ranking number on all of these polls and then add them together.......this is what you get. Vettel was ranked 2 by AMUS, 2 by autosport driver rankings, 2 by team principals....in all there of these alonso was ranked number 1, there for Alonso only gets 3 points, Vettel 6, therefore Vettel is the better driver....anyone who disagrees is biased.
Oh, will they? how about qualis in australia, belgium, texas, brasil.. And alonso didnt struggle in quali? button's got nothing on vettel in quali unless he's in a considerably quicker car. 2011 suzuka is a good example of this.Nando wrote:My take as well.Cylinder wrote:PS. 1. Alonso
2. Hamilton
3. Vettel
4. Kimi (you could make an argument to put him higher for his relentless consistency)
5. Button/Webber etc

Alonso and Hamilton will take what they got and simply deal with it.
If you want you can lay out all Qualifying teammate numbers, HAM/BUT - ALO/MAS - VET/WEB.Juzh wrote:Oh, will they? how about qualis in australia, belgium, texas, brasil..
