Whoop Whoop!! Congratulations Alonso!!!

Best bits for me....

Kimi's comment to MB raised a smile first off,

I thought Massa would get pole a while back but didnt expect a win, great drive, although the gap was not all his own doing, didnt Alonso say he turned down the revs after MS's unfortunate puncture? so thats 60 odd laps at cruise then :)

Im glad MS got to show his skill too, watching his laps on the live timing was just a sea of purple come the end of the race, there's no doubt he is a driving genius. Sort of sorry to see him leave on a downer but hey, you cant win em all...

Mclaren..... Please please sort your reliability Fernando needs to defend a title!! Kimi is going to be a very, very dominant force next year!

One final thing.... Who needs mass dampers lol!!!! Renault the class of the field again & PS got to stick one over on RB again!! Class year, roll on 07 :)

Well done Renault, Alonso, Massa, Button, Sato, Kimi and of course, driver of the day MS.

Each drove a great race, each deserved what they got and each will face different challenges next year.

Good luck to all of them for their future, F1 will change so much next year with so many changes and such even competition. Bring it on.

Even after the engine failure, fuel pump problem and punture, I still had a glimmer of hope that Schumi could clinch the title. That goes to show what you expect of Schumacher, that he can win the grand prix even being heavily disadvantaged, that he has super human abilities that give every fan that bit of hope, no matter what the circumstance.

But maybe the task that lay ahead of him today was too much of a up hill stuggle, but saying that he was still going 120% all through the race. If it was me I would of given up after the engine failure in Japan, but Schuey kept pushing to the last lap of the last GP.

BTW well done to Alonso and Renault, they deserved it.

The race was excellent... a great day in F1. Let's hope 2007 has the same 'closeness' but with three teams.

Not surprisingly, the last race of the season sees relatively few changes. This one was introduced at the last round and remains for Brazil. The knife-edge profile on the front wing's endplate has been widened, in turn reducing the overall section of the wing elements. This is to reduce airflow disruption caused by the front wheels close to the extremities of the wing. With the airflow hitting the front wing finding less turbulence, this cuts drag and improves overall aerodynamic efficiency.

brilliant race though and a great drive by schumi following the puncture...

im currently looking for a high res photo of massa holding up the brazilian flag while driving the car at the end of the race, what a fantastic day for him.....Super "Best Friends" Aguri also did a fantastic job, did i not say early in the season to give them time? 8)
the post season peice by sam posey turned out preaty good, he was writing it the last time he was here a week and a half ago :P

over all, i think this was by far the most exciting season in recent years, great battles and a good blend of controvercies....

You joke about this, manchild, but had it been the other way around, Schu taking out Fisi, you would've been up in arms like a house had just fallen on your sister.

8) lots of other great shots in that folder too....i had been wondering what those little lines on shumi's helmet were, several of those shots showed the detail and confirmed my feeling that it was gold leaf used instead of white on his stars, dragons, and chinese letering...

Come on people, Michael hit debris from Rosberg's car. It wasn't Fisi's front wing that caused the puncture.

AMAZING drive by Michael there up until the end. And Button should've been a bit more persuasive really. I bet Fernando would just let him pass, there's no sense colliding with JB, considering the ONLY car in front of them was Felipe Massa.

Did anyone see Ross Brawn on the podium? ffs, he was the size of Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso combined!

Great race, no need to come on here and claim 'sabotage' as ferrari supporters are more knowledgeable than that.

well done to all drivers and all teams, it was a good show to end an era that will never be as exciting again.

i can only hope i am wrong

Gongratulations Renault & Alonso! 8)

I wonder if Massa gets a penalty though. He stopped after the race and received something (the flag), which is specifically banned in the rules.

Don't get me wrong. Great for Massa and great for Brazil, I do hope he gets to keep it. But to be fair, he shouldn't.

I also believe that Fisi didn't cut Schuey's tyre but only took it off. I mean, I think that it happened that tyre side wall was moved to the right a bit, lost pressure and than failed in next corner. If it was cut Schuey would spun almost instantly and he said he didn't felt a thing until the next corner.

It was a bad luck for him. I don'n think anyone in Fisichella's place could have done that on purpose. What he "did" to Fisichella in Hungary had worse effect on Fisichella who DNF while Schuey menaded to reach the pits. Those were just two racing incidents and if people said in Schuey's defence that he did nothing to Fisichella in Hungary that Fisichella certianly did nothing to him in Brazil.

No, no your math is wrong. It's Renault 206, Ferrari 100.5, FIA 100.5
Alonso 134, Schumacher 60.5, Mosley 60.5
