Portamao will not host F1 testing or a race till they pay a €2.8m fee from 2009 from the stand alone GP2 race that was there, The interest alone is 10% every year it isnt paid. Bernie is using it as a weapon for the Park Algarve (New track name as of start of this year i am led to believe) in order to not bring a race there as its FIA license is a 1A Level.

As for Estoril, it is now a 2B license, as it needs 5 upgrades to get their 1A license back;
* Track needs to be at least 4.5km long, its presently 4.182km
* Track needs tra mack run off area at/in at least 5 different areas
* Pit buildings need updated as they are only GP3 spec
* Track infrastructure needs updating, they need better Broadband for media and more car parking spaces available, around 20,000 spaces is the figure that was quoted about 3 years ago.
* Grandstanding, they need to get about 50,000 seats available as well.

Estoril will need about €45m minimum to get this track its 1B license for testing (Bullet 1 would be omitted then) and €60m for a race. Also the track surface isnt bumpy, its just like Jerez now, it lacks bitchumen which would churn and grate the Pirellis.

Personally id like to see them use Motorland Aragon.

Grosjean,Hulkenberg and Button are positive about the car those are valuable opinions. I heard J.Herbert talking about Mercedes being hard on their tires, when i fact Mercedes (Ross and Rosberg) has come out and said tires aren't an issue anymore. J.Herbert should be replaced doesn't add anything, better add Eddie Jordan who occasionally brings scoops. Herbert is trying to be funny but he really isn't never brings news or talks rubbish.
Agree completely on Herbet, the worst pundit iv ever seen, stumbles his words, goes round in circles and just continually states the obvious, sky need to cut him, hill's not bad and iv always quite liked brundle.

As for the merc, looks impressive, will be interesting to see what they bring to the car this weekend.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

According to Italian media, Kimi has food poisoning, Davide Valsecchi will drive today.
Do you feel you can beat the Red Bulls, either to pole position or the race itself?
Fernando Alonso: "I prefer to beat them on Sunday."

Bad luck. Davide will start the day behind the wheel, but they called back Romain (who had left the track last night to spend a couple of days home) and if he gets back to the track in time he will drive in the second part of the day.
