Pastor Maldonado recorded the fastest time on the penultimate testing day of the current 4-day session at Barcelona. The session was dominated by 4 red flags and was eventually cut short 3 minutes earlier than planned because Felipe Massa came to a halt in the pitlane.

He tried it with Alonso who promptly came into the pits and then Schumacher and Button did the same on the Thursday so full race runs were often altered due to traffic and strategic positioning of cars, thats my opinion anyway

As far as I can tell Schumi has done 7 stints on softs so far.
