Consecutively outqualifying your teammate -stats and numbers

I assume mechanical issues and gearbox penalties and such were excluded from the numbers?

When I did my numbers, I counted the order that formula1.com listed drivers in, no matter what the circumstances. I got the same answer for all 3 years as mnmracer, so I'm guessing that's what he did too.

Btw mnmracer, hamilton has been beaten 3 times consecutively, twice – once by Kovalinen in 2009, and once in 2010 by Button.

This one's quite interesting, we can see by it that Vettel is being flattered by beating the hell out of Bourdains, and tends back towards the 70-75% zone once Webber starts keeping him honest. We can also see that Alonso is lifted by two seasons against piquet in which he only dropped a single qually session.

Or you could say that Alonso is held back due to his performance in one lap shootouts against Trulli. I'm pretty sure that all of these three would have worse ratio had the one lap shootout continued, even with the very same teammates. The chance of having something going wrong in a lap would equalise things a little bit.
