WRC won't be the same without Sebastian Loeb!

Post

He was just amazing.
Despite being the most championship winning driver, surpassing even Michael Schumacher in F1, his driving style was just unbelievable as he got the car more sideways yet in control than any other driver as evidenced by only having few crashes.

WRC will look like the post Senna F1, with Ogier and Latvala being the good-but-not-the-best-drivers winning because their car is better kind of Nigell Mansell in his Williams.

If we add the fact that VW only promotes motorsport to make its road cars look not THAT troublesome.
Now everyone knows most modern VWs are made with lowest-bidder quality parts, specially those for the American market.

Loeb actually gets the car less sideways. His style has often been referred to as " more circuit racing than rally". He was amazing though.

I only agree with your point on Ogier and Latvala having better cars, but what's your point about Loeb? Are you dreaming of the guy at night or what is going on with you? He was a great driver of course, but he always had the best car, the team built around him, and no proper opposition (except Gronholm probably). He was as Pierce said, also driving more circuit-like than rally-like and that is why he was so much faster on tarmac. He still never really mastered the snow, but for sure the guy is in the top 3 of the greatest driver of all time in rallying.

Sebastian Ogier not being one of the best? Really? I'm sorry, but that is bogus. The rest of the field is a bit lesser, but Ogier not. Ogier was the only one to actually bring some competition to Loeb.

From the past few years it is clear Ogier and Loeb are top notch, the rest is simply lesser. Certainly this season it shows, Loeb gone, and suddenly Citroen is nowhere. Also Latvala is pretty much nowhere compared to Ogier.

You can cry all you want about how he's gone, but people come and go and they cant drive there forever, certainly not after 9 back to back titles.

Other than that, I think that Loeb would be the only one to really challenge Ogier for the title. Citroen even tries to get Loeb back in there out of desperation it seems.
