He will lose to Vettel. He can't manage Grosjeans raw pace right now. Romain only needs to be consistent and more sure to soundly beat Kimi. Kimi is a safer pair of hands than webber though and he knows how finish a race as high as he can; he also can race under pressure.
So yes i think he'll go to redbull, but for other's benefit. Vettel will want him there. Vettel needs a wdc teammate to increase his ratings, and kimi is probably the easiest one to deal with and to beat out of all the wdc on the grid. He's not ultra fast, and he doesn't play politics, neither does he moan in public.
I think it's best for Kimi to stick with Lotus, it's his team and he's a number 1 there.
Button wont leave mclaren, he wants another wdc. I feel he will end his career there. He's not foolish enough to jump out to a lesser team. He'll stay there as long as Martin has favour with him.
For Sure!!

No need to continue this in the Macca forum. I'll reply in the Red Bull forum. Cheers-

What is happening at Mclaren? :( In an article on Omnicourse they said that during this days at Ferrari will come another two engineers from Mclaren. Look: "La squadra del Cavallino non è ancora al top in fatto di simulazione (a proposito, nei prossimi giorni arriveranno altri due grandi specialisti del settore dalla McLaren!"

On the other hand, if you look at the recruiting department of the top teams and the offers for graduates engineers, you cand observe that Mclaren has the most complete and complex system of recruiting and job offers for designers and engineers. There are offers for design engineers, electrical engineers, vehicle dynamics, wind tunnel engineers, and all this offers are with their closing days. I found that only Mercedes has so many applications, job offers etc like Mclaren this year. It results that Mclaren is recruiting quite strongly in their technical organisation.

Three options, or a blend of all:

- A lot of people are leaving because they no longer want to work there
- Poor performers are being told to go
- The team is growing

Also a closing date on an advert does not mean they have found someone. They might be drawing blanks and need to re-advertise again.

Thanks Richard for your reply. I'm afraid of your first idea about that people don't want to work at Mclaren. About the second, is is possible that they tell to the poor performers to go, if Sam Michael said last month that they. It's very logical that they made some sacking in the simulation department, after the errors with mp4-28 design.
But I found a ray of hope when you said that the team is growing, and it's very plausible. Look what Martin Whitmarsh said about this aspect: "We're strengthening the team and we're recruiting quite strongly into the technical organisation and that's to meet the challenge not only of 2014 but also the exciting challenge of 2015 [when Honda replaces Mercedes as engine supplier]. An article about Mclaren for 2014 and 2015. I think we have good reasons to remain optimistic :D
""Whitmarsh insisted that the team hadn't given up all car development for 2013, although obviously they were being careful about which areas they focussed on to make sure it feeds into the work for next year when the rules and regulations are significantly overhauled. "We've been working on the 2014 car for some time," he said. "I think the likelihood is that all of the cars will have to be quite a lot different. We're focussing now on areas of development and understanding which make this year's car quicker but actually are really relevant to next year."There are still front wings, for instance, and other areas of aerodynamic development that are just as relevant for next year," he explained. "There are some other areas - exhaust blowing, and some of the other areas - where we're plainly going to be less active.

The bitter reality of not fighting for the championship in 2013 could even prove to be a help to the team's future planning, he mused.

"If we were in a championship fight then we might try and find the tenths or hundredths but I think we need to try and make sure we apply the resource and the learning that's going to be relevant for next year," he said. "If you look at the last ten or so years each year we've been fighting for race wins and then fighting for championship, so really we've been fighting to the end of the year. [This year] we've got the luxury of not quite the same level of pressures."
The following year will see McLaren reunited once again with Honda - and Whitmarsh said he can't wait.

"Obviously there's a massive excitement in the company [about Honda returning.] They've got a racing culture, a racing spirit - it's tremendously exciting and very motivational in the team," he said. "We can now look ahead really the next ten years knowing we've got fantastic budget, we've fantastic resources, we've got a fantastic partner to go out there and continue winning and being successful in F1. .

"It's a challenge, it always is, but I think it's an exciting one."

Whitmarsh added that as well as being McLaren's technical partner, the two companies would also be pursuing a commercial partnership that will ensure the team's finances are secure for several years to come - no mean feat in these austere economic times.

"We have a good range of sponsors going forward and of course Honda is a great technical and commercial partner, so we've got a very secure budget."

None, unless GlaxoSmithKline comes on board to be the Title Sponsor.

Yeah is there any news on the new sponsor for the team next since Vodafone are leaving at the end of the year I believe, could the less than successful campaign this year hinder them finding a new title sponsor? At least one that would give as much money as Vodafone.
